i play all 4 tanks and enjoy playing them all, out of them i enjoy my warrior the most because it just feels good. a very fun and dynamic toolset.
however, my paladin is clearly the strongest out of them, not only that, it’s by far the easiest to play.
ardent defender is exceptionally overpowered for how many talent points it costs, the only other tank that has something equivalent is DKs will of the necro but it’s completely missing the cheat death component that makes ardent so strong.
if ardent was downgraded to be the same as will of the necro, things would feel a lot more balanced.
threat wise, DK has the strongest single target but weakest AOE threat. warrior has the best snap AOE threat but falls off in cleave situations, bear is just poor threat in general. paladin has good single target and cleave threat, it’s also very easy with little to no thinking required, just mash your 3 keys on any random target and let the seal do the work, which is why they feel so good.
