It feels really disingenuous to describe the DF mounts in as being limited to 4 choices.
Like yes, there are 4 basic chasis, but there is enough customization options present for each of them that it actually offers potentially as many mounts as whole expansions would offer.

Ya it’s absolutely stupid. It’s the exact same mount with a different skin and it cannot dragonride.
Also, the dragonriding mount customization is trash. You pick up little things that do basically nothing or farm a ton of rep to change to like blue or blackish and that’s it.
A new dragon called the Slitherdrake that can be customized like the others. I did check, and it’s just one new dragon, not two. I was wrong on my original comment.

I know some are having a lot of trouble with DRing…and I wish we could figure that part out…but this has got to be one of the best additions to the game in …well, since it was created, lol.
There is no end to the models and upgrades they could come up with.
what Id like to see for those who have trouble DRing is maybe a ‘normal’ flight mode switch for these DRing mounts so they could enjoy them too.
I’ve seen like one customized drake that made me jealous, and even then instead of working on unlocking those customizations I just found myself wishing for my old mounts again.
I love the gliding system but I don’t love drakes.
I definitely think they should’ve had a lot more custom options for the dragons and should add more. For an expansion feature, they went light on the appearances. Maybe I’m misremembering, but I feel as if other expansion features were far more involved than what we’ve received with dragonriding so far.
I’m having fun in DF, but it’s impossible for me to not feel a bit letdown with the potential of what dragonriding could have been and what it is. There’s a lot they could’ve done with it and didn’t.

Theres actually a hell of a lot, it’s just that players need to take the time to unlock them and then customize their drake.
Yeaaaaah, they need to add a buttload more colours and let us manipulate things like the size or wings, length of length, length of tail, if they want to keep this system.
Dragon armour first seemed really cool, and then… now it’s just very meh.
I really want the 0.5% mount skin drop from Raz, but I know I’ll never get it
I definitly feel in the minority but I just don’t care, I only ever use the same mount anyway, it’s a transport method I don’t really give a f what it looks like. Compared to half the mounts in the game the dragons look amazing
Yea, that and every stupid little detail is a random unlock/achievement from something that is entirely too tedious for me to bother with anymore. I saw some of the customizations I wanted on my main and just said screw it and quit DF. Can’t be bothered with slow drawn out grinds + RNG to make a drake only slightly different than everyone else’s.
There’s gonna be a fifth one in 10.1
or how about this for a mind-bending colour: purple.
oh! oh! or how about this: orange.
maybe even: bone-white, or grey.
…5 colours really isn’t enough… heck, different shades and tints would be nice…
Heck, I even have a purple protodrake, and we’ve seen regularly white ones (Ancient Protodrake mobs in the photo quests)

People pick the dumbest crap to get upset about. And they always post on an anonymous character to do it. It’s interesting. Are you embarrassed to be upset by dumb things or are you just a dumb troll?

I really like dragonriding, but it feels really cheap when I have 500 mounts but only use a single funny dragon.
Atleast I managed to produce the ugliest mount known as the Goblindrake.
At this point blizz could announce one update that would make everyone crazy happy. Wait I forgot where I’m posting…it would make many happy….
“Coming next patch all flying mounts in your collection useable in dragon flight , will convert to dragon riding system automatically.”
Blizzard just do it already.
