I'm going to miss the new models

I’m super excited for Classic; I’ve been begging for classic servers since, like, Cataclysm.

That said, I’m going to miss how pretty the game looks in retail. The old models and animations have their charm, for sure, but I still get night-terrors about the goblins before their update(s).

I’ve also been begging for the goblin model update since WoD, and now that it’s finally coming, it’ll probably be around the same time as Classic, so I won’t even really experience it. Woe is me. :frowning:

I was pretty peeved when they first removed the option to use the old models now I’m just meh about it.

The new gnome models are just so good. I’m going to miss seeing them.

I’m hoping since they’re using a 7.3.5 client as a base, they’ll “forget” to take out some of the new model files.

The biggest problem with the new models are the running animations :nauseated_face:

Undead female has had the best running animation since the game launch.

They did an absolutely amazing job on her animations. Favorite animations out of everything.

hmm I’m not sure about that one but male troll, male tauren, male night elf to name a few I can remember making me puke.

I have always disliked the male dranei since tbc.

It’s the opposite for me. I’m really excited to not have to see the new models.

I had a little theory that they spent time designing the new WSG/AB to put them in Classic. Have you seen the new BGs? They did an absolutely amazing job.

Good lord the new models and especially the new animations are so god awful. I’m going to relish every single day I play and don’t see the new terrible Disney models.

Whoever said the new gnome models are the best… I can’t even, or odd.

You’re not wrong. People seem really quick to displease on the Classic forums. Not to say the retail forums are too much different, though.

The only emotion invoked in me from the new gnome models is deleting my character.

That’s an emotion right?

It’s a shame that I have to even see the new gnome models on this character that I post with.

Whenever they allow people to play for free, I log on so I can see Shadowmourne’s proc animation, and to use Tabard of the Lightbringer. Then I log off.

During that time, I have to exhibit extreme willpower to not look at my character’s face. I also avoid running the entire time. I only use my mount because if I see my character’s stupid running animation I’ll puke all over my keyboard. I do all of this without volume because even the new voices are stupid.

It’s a stressful event just to see Shadowmourne again. Thankfully they rarely do these free events.
