The queues are so bad in FF14 that they are giving every player a free week of playtime in compensation.
The wait is literally hours and if you are unlucky you get a bug that kicks you out of queue

Warlords of Draenor says, “hello.” They had to actually upgrade the servers because they were imploding. That’s clearly the last time they upgraded the servers based on current performance metrics.

Well, unless they do something to fix the problem they have had for 6 months now…they have self-limited their growth by not providing enough room for their players to log in.

And W.o.W never had this problem? Blizzard/W.o.W. and co actually had tuns of these problems! Props to FF14 devs and co to give a free week of playtime. WE are lucky to receive a half a day credit when we ran into connection issues and long queue times during launch expansions.
