Im getting a smidge bored. Help?

So long story short, I’ve mained Rsham for close to 8years. I switched to Paladin this season, already hit all 10s, 1600 in pvp(which aint nothing, I know). But Im like, drastically bored. I was thinking of trying a whole new class. I’ve only ever played Paladin, Warrior, and Shaman in the course of my WoW life. I will normally always play a class that has a support role, generally healing.

So, quick question. Are monks fun? I know its a matter of perspective, but for those of you who may have played MW Monk, or other toons over the years, can you give me pros/cons of MW Monk Vs Rsham? I know Rsham like the back of my hand…its too comfortable, I dont care that its ultra meta right now…ill get bored with it again real quick.

You’d probably be better off asking this in the monk forums since that is where people play monk, you’ll get more legit answers from actual monk players but the realistic answer is nobody can really make this choice for you or tell you what you would like. Try out mw, see if you like it, then decide. Its a pretty fun healer at least in pvp, not sure about pve though but it seems decent. I would recommend checking out some videos from Megasett to get a really good feeling of mw as well.

i’ve only dabbled in mw/only played it in fistweaving spec but i think its pretty fun. Felt more like a rotation than rsham’s responsive healing. Personally hate rsham playstyle and think hpal>disc>fistweaving are much more fun ways to feel like ur hitting the mobs while ur healing - 'specially more fun as ppls ilvl make the content easier. Cocoon probably a nice external to have after ya been playing rsham, but i imagine ull never feel as safe/easy as tha sham

I love mistweave. Haven’t played in War Within, but I know they got rid of Essence Font, which did low healing anyways but it was fun because you’d do a little animation. I’m not sure how the hero talent feel, but I know that of them has something similar with pretty celestial animations, just on like a 90 second cooldown.

In dragonflight there were several options when it came to builds, but guides only focused on two really, if you’re a guide reader.

Best single target spot healing in the game through Soothing Mist channels, a really powerful 7 second HoT in Enveloping Mist which you can prolong with a talent by Sun Kicking - effectively increasing Sun Kick’s healing per action for each one you have out. A talent that converts kicks to spread heals for routine maintenance, and you’re routine HoT Renewing Mist which causes Vivify to cleave - so like always having Primordial Wave active.

I really like the second-to-second gameplay, deciding whether to punch or get a HoT out, managing when to drink tea, choosing a caccoon target, freaking out and SM the tank. So yeah, I say give it a go.
