He was never really a major character or did anything. Yes he’s 1 of 3 leader of the horde council and specifically blood horde side of the horde…but thats it. Thats all hes got to his name. He has no feats, merits, nothing. He’s more useless then Baine, at least Baine went to the shadowlands even if he sat around and did nothing(he had a much bigger role in the original script), but Lorthemar…is just afk chilling doing nothing all the time while everyone else does the fighting. Then suddenly we hear he married the nightborne leader and…umm ok? are we supposed to care? He was literally a “who?” character until that point…and returned to being so.

He doesn’t do anything within the events of WoW where the player takes place. In lore yeah sure…but ingame…Thrall, Baine, sylvannas, Vol’jin, etc all did something…where was Lorthermar during the battle of broken isles? Probably chilling in his fancy city while the horde took a heavy hit that day and a dark turn. I’ve even seen other blood elf leaders show up and do something…but him…nope he’s been “who?” by the writers.

I actually forgot who he was. I do feel bad for the Horde because they have some cool leaders who just don’t get any screen time.

He was fighting demons in Org and was also in Undercity and there for Vol’jin’s death.

No reason you shouldn’t be. If he dies, all that would mean is that he would be taken by the Kyrian to Shadowlands. So the question would be, to which zone would he be assigned?
Most likely it would be Bastion. He would fit in well with the Kyrian who prefer loyalty, order, and have a respect for responsibility. Think Lorthemar with wings.

The Horde has lost too many leaders without worthwhile replacements to lose Lorthemar now.
Maybe maybe if Rokan and Calia get more development they can spare Lorthemar, but right now he’s carrying like half the Horde representation on his shoulders.

He spearheaded the Horde campaign at the Isle of Thunder and was among the first to commit to Vol’jin’s revolution.
He was also at the forefront of the Nazjatar campaign in BfA.
