I'm Excited for Legion Classic

I missed out on Legion, the only expansion I never played and that makes me sad, so obviously I really am looking forward to the artifact weapons and what not. Even WoD I’d be excited for on a short time table.

One thing is for sure, they have to have flying at the start of these expansions and also make sure the artifact and legendary systems we get are the fixed systems that they provided at the end of the expansion. I’d be soooo pumped if this is the case.

Neither will have flying at the start. You’ll have to do the annoyingly tedious pathfinder achievement.

Was tied to an achievement

Never got a fix? They just kept adding stuff each patch

Legendary vendor at the start would cause some balance issues if you ask me. It’s fairly easy to get 1000 Wakening Essence, meaning everyone would do the first raid with their BiS legendary.
What they should do is to fix their terrible bad-luck protection system which was bugged for at least 2 tiers.

I cut out before legion, so I’m looking forward to trying it out myself.

Didn’t they eventually add a weekly cap so that you couldn’t grind it endlessly and consequently leave people who didn’t treat the game like their main job permanently behind? Or something like that. I’m not too familiar with how Legion went, I ended up taking my first major hiatus a couple of weeks into Emerald Nightmare due to a combination of burnout and being the designated raid leader for a group of players that would make the average Twilight Protocol rando look competent

Nope. They just added nodes such as Concordance of the Legionfall - Spell - World of Warcraft which was a endless grind with hard DR. But you couldn’t get it until before doing the 7.2 campaign. Ofc they could remove that requirement, but then this would case a huge imbalance for the first tier as Concordance (and other additional nodes) were very powerful.

The tedious achievement is basically just playing the game. If you play you will naturally unlock it easily

Class legendary weapons were nice, especially the fishing rod, and Mage Tower challenge was cool, but that mob level scaling in Legion zones really butchered the meaning of leveling.

Personally I like Legion content but the artifact power grind combined with legendary rng is simply not something I’ll do again.

From what I’ve heard the grind at the end of the expansion was eased up? Or was that just for alts? Since we’d get the final patch, wouldn’t we get the less grindy version that was present at the end?

There’s no guarantee that they’ll add a vendor that only appeared during 7.3.5 and there was no nerf to the artifact power grind as far as I know , as far as I remember they simply made activities from later patch simply reward more artifact power (and with artifact knowledge which over time made it easier by buffing all artifact power gains each week) and you had less points to invest compare to the beginning as each patch brought new but less artifact perks to put your artifact power on.

Ahhh ok, thank you. I imagine as someone who hasn’t done the grind before I’ll be easily taken in by the newness of it.

The grind was terrible, even as a new player. You could spent all your life in maw of souls

I think it depends on if Legion ends up as an Era server, as a lot of people want. If it does, there’s really no need to make gaining artifact power faster. Since you’ll have forever to keep grinding it.

But if Legion Classic is just a just another step before BfA then it could be an issue. Especially since the Classic versions have a much faster timeline than the original expansions.

Unpopular Opinion: MoP should be the last classic expansion. WoD was the dawn of retail WoW (yes, WoD. Not Cataclysm)

I’d rather play Legion Remix with all the comforts and conveniences of retail WoW, than see it become a classic expansion.
