The only thing I dislike about classic(and even back in vanilla) was mob tagging. It’s something that really doesn’t belong in a mmo. Anyways it’s “classic” so not even going to bother but it’s causing some silly drama during certain quests. It just reminded me how much I despite it.

There’s no XP at 60, though, so it’s just an issue while leveling
BTW, just in case, even if you delete your characters they can get them back, I know from experience 
There’s a lot of things, at least to me, that justify the eventual QoL changes we get in retail. I’ll gladly take the bad with the good with this but whew, some of these design choices flat out stink.
Everything you have posted was ingame 15 years ago.
- Agree with cata, trilogy ended at WOTLK.
- Layering should not be in the game. Negates the title CLASSIC. I agree but not a game breaker. EFF the AH, just play.
- Mob tagging has always been a thing in Vanilla. You are just used to the carebear retail. The big boys play in Classic. I’ve been ganked 100 times today never 1v1. Typical horde and how they role.
- It’s not easy in Classic to find groups for dungeons. GroupFinder needs to be added because we all have lives. It’s not 15 years ago to sit around wasting your life away looking for a group. That I agree. Those that complain about GroupFinder are losers and have no jobs or families.
- In conclusion, the only thing that has changed in classic is layering. That’s to keep the balance between horde and alliance which they failed on. Everything else is 100% the same.

Then group up for quests, I believe that is the idea and it goes faster.
Can’t find groups? Can’t kill quest target?

I notice you play Private Servers.
Lets compare shall we. I played on them also.
- Let us start with my favorite. It is called Wintrade.
- Auction House lets see. I started a toon on a Blizz like LK. I went to AH to buy my level 15 some gear. I could not afford the 10-15 gold for a chest item.
- Bots must have bots due to the people running the server did not want to farm.
- Ganking that depends on the wintrading. When the horde are winning it is the Alliance the does the ganking. When Alliance wins horde does the ganking.
- Hunters pets can’t seem to stay on a boat or anything. They get left behind.
I could go on but why.
I will wait for Blizzard to fix. I know it will take time. I know it will be fixed right and not half donkey (I thimk you know the word) like the private servers do. But than that is why I am only a level 22 that started on launch day.
Easy solution to all this. Play on a PVE server. Have problems with group mobs? Pull one by one and let the rest reset themselves. Problem solved. Don’t worry about AH. Just use gather professions and sell sell sell. In the end, you are 60. Worried about a dungeon, forget it. Just quest and finish.
1 - i playd on france servers.
2- i don’t know how to bot, it’s not on my bucket list and I would rather be forced to eat McDonald’s than learn how to bot.
3 - 10 gold for green items we can agree is totally abusive even on private servers but idk the trade rates for thrid world economy servers
4 - i don’t pvp unless its for wintergrasp zangarmarsh sillithus and so on. I don’t mind wpvp or bg im all for it.
but hey if you made them,mistake of playing on USA based private server your fault not mine. like i said im happy classic is back; it’s just a real disappointment and such a wreckage of bugs hacks bots or abuse that blizzard isn’t fixing to not penalise their employes.
Not guaranteed & likely if this does happen, they will create new servers specifically for the expansions.
Don’t blame you, Cata ruined the world. It could have been done SO much better, what with all their phasing tech & Bronze Dragons to revert changes.
Those were all supposed to have shut down with the release of Classic - if there are still some in operation I hope Blizzard shuts them down.
Because private servers =/= Classic or Blizzard products. The people that run those servers make changes that were NEVER in Vanilla or the other two expansions. You’ve been coddled on those servers & while Classic is not EXACTLY like Vanilla was, it’s as close as we will get and it’s an AUTHENTIC Blizzard experience.
Have YOU tried inviting someone? Have you even tried SPEAKING to someone who’s killing the same mobs you are? People advertise in zone (/1), trade (/2) and world (/4) for groups, do you respond to them? If you’re wandering around waiting for someone else to do the inviting, you’re going to play by yourself.
PvP happened on a PvP server. Has it occurred to you to try a NORMAL server?
You didn’t give anything a chance. You (likely) rolled on a high-pop PvP server, didn’t speak to anyone, didn’t try to form groups, and got butthurt when you got ganked. What you WANTED was your game spoon-fed to you as it is on Private servers and you are upset that it didn’t happen.
By the way, there were some REALLY good expansions AFTER Cata. Too bad you didn’t come back & try those.

i stopped playing retail. the only reason i have a 113 sham is because i it came with the sub and i had to play retail, while i waited for classic.
from memory when i played classic opn bloodhoof you could scream lfg egg hunt and get 10-15 group invites… now lfg egg hunt… results in wall of silence.

Outside of the layering issue you listed, everything else sounds like a personal problem or the fact you’re whining about being ganked on a pvp server…

Come to my server on whitemane. PLay alliance with me. See how the struggle is real when it’s 3v1. My life is a lot harder than yours. Every 10 mins I have 3 horde on me ganking me and slowing down my progress. I get angry but chin up at all times. Eventually I will be 60 as Rogue and they will wish they never messed with me.
Disadvantage of leveling up with leveling spec. You don’t have the goods to defend yourself against ganks.

Should try a different server or different faction than what you usually play. If you’re really quitting, I’m not sure posting to random people in a public forum is going to be very fruitful.
