I’ve cancelled my subscription and listed the neglect to the shaman class as my reasoning.
I’m fed up with how blizz treats this class.

Just play sod , it somehow has an ele rotation with more buttons because it isn’t just lava burst spam, and enhance still uses both shocks, has lightning bolts and chain lightning and still does insane dps compared to its counterparts.
Somehow in the meme version of the game the less resources less talented developers can make a more fun spec.

I think the problem here is not the developers as much as the PR team that is leaving shamans in the dark
Unlikely, it’s a problem pr doesn’t communicate with us, even if it’s “no changes”, but they haven’t made changes for a long time. That goes well beyond basic PR, and attributes to just no work being done.
The dev team has clearly showed a lack of caring about shaman bordering on resentment since legion.
Actually class grievances has been a reason for people leaving this game. This has been stated by Blizz themselves.
It’s possible OP did cancel the sub in protest but still has X amount of months left to play and are hoping their note gets attention.
Blizzard also said that those players that actually leave due to class grievances are upset because of too many changes, not from not enough. They also said those players rarely if ever post about it online.
Shamans are based on the elements in wow, so if you’re unwilling to accept that the elements of the game are flawed you’re going to have too high of expectations as to what the class will do. Not necessarily a bad thing, but if you’re always focused on etheric concepts, then a video game as heavy into handholding as wow is is going to have many grievances.
…what? Your rationale of people not enjoying spec mechanics is… the lore says it should be bad?

Plenty of people enjoy the spec mechanics, blizzard doesn’t have to cater to everybody, nor do they have to rewrite the lore so that a mage covering the ground in fire miraculously causes no harm to friendlies; the caveat being classes like shaman lose their actual potential for good because instead of handling the misuse of elements from others they’re stuck with made up conceptions of elemental magic on the level of irrationality as rogue mechanics.
All statements can be true. People leave the game if they feel they are no longer enjoying their experience. The class becoming outdated due to lack of updates being on of them.
I left during SL and only came back out of hopium Metzen can pull it off.

Sure. “Anything can be true” is definitely a catch all statement.
It’s been the experience on the forums that people who come to complain and say “I cAnCeLleD My wOw sUb” almost never actually do. It’s always an empty threat.
The people who do cancel their wow sub don’t feel the need to exclaim about it on the forum.
All this said, I agree with the frustration about lack of changes.
People who really quit, don’t post on the forums that they’re quitting. You can’t even quit the game’s forums.
