I'm done. Untuned, Untested Garbage

No but it was a new design. Some code is closer to hardware and system software and some is not. If you are going to rewrite a large system the one closest to the changing technology would be a high priority.

Also, at the time they didn’t have to worry about creating new content in addition to working on software upgrades.

You were grouped with a healer who can compensate for the Burn Away. If you try to solo it, classes by themselves do not have the healing or the defensives to last through the constant casts of it over and over.

What a load man, Heroics in TBC were far more difficult than any low level mythic. Not like you had epic gear when you did them either. You were lucky if you had any blue gear back then. So stop acting like it was easy. Ya in Epic gear maybe, but that was not what anyone was doing a heroic in when it first came out. You went to do Heroics to get decent blue gear.

Also, back then we didn’t have mod telling you how to play the game, you actually had to figure it out on your own, best I had was a personal DPS meter because most people didn’t know back then about anything else. We had Team Speak and that was about it. You guys always forget we had crap internet back then, crap mods, crap computers, you had to not pull agro, you had to interrupt, use traps, anything at your disposal, and if you F’d up you actually got one shot if you weren’t the tank. We didn’t have sims, Ask Mr Robot, any of that crap, the only reliable information back then was Elitist jerks and maybe Land Soul’s spread sheet ( I can’t remember if he made it in TBC or WotLK).

You act as if we were doing Heroics in today’s world…

I soloed it at 8 on this priest.

It’s not that bad. You just have to use your abilities and know your class.

What the heck is this thread?

Cleared all the mythics tonight. Not too hard at all. Really enjoyable overall.

I did it on a ret paladin, solo.

Died once.

Might be the easiest spec to do it with though.

You’re surprised that the first week of a season isn’t tuned right?

yeah it will be the bugs that will be the last straw for me - I waste way too much of my time doing content and not getting what I was promised as a reward.

Save your spears. Easy win.

I soloed it at 8 on this priest.

loooool. Read that line you typed real slow. What do priests have again, my brain is fuzzy.

But I admire that the designers of FF were humble enough to admit their own problems, and were even willing to start from the ashes to bring a game worth playing.

There are too many game companies that are to prideful to acknowledge that they failed, and less that will start from zero inorder to give players a much better experience.

Gotta wait for those 4 day bans to clear and the race to world first to start before the sweaty normals can get any clears… duh,

no they aren’t. They have totally wrecked world quests and made them almost non existent. The only people they listen to in this game are the sweaty people and that often results in them ruining the game for others.

Good point, but Brann can be used as a healer for those who don’t have healing buttons. I use him that way in Balance all the time. Now, I feel like I need to go try and solo the delve just to see how bad it is.

The burn AoE hit us two cycles before we killed the guy, and if you prepare for that, I think a lot of our specs (most of our specs?) could handle it.

I guess the part that confused me was “mathematically impossible.” I wanted to know what that was about. Brutal damage session, yeah, but Dwarven medicine and golden healy cage and personal cooldowns reserved for that encounter should cover it…shouldn’t it?

That was the source of my question.

Delve difficulty definitely hit or miss. People are gonna just wait out the bountiful ones that are mechanically easier over some of the obnoxious ones (waterworks and fungal frenzy are just dumb).

Mythic dungeons seem overall fine. Do not look forward in the least to be dealing with fortified as usual. Even doing double pack pulls felt like life and death far too often. I didn’t get to them all tonight though.

It is obvious though even in this thread people haven’t caught on yet that mythic 0 = old logic mythic+10 scaling. If you weren’t good enough (or had enough “time” since everyone here is clearly CE-tier players if they didn’t have 48963683 jobs, kids, and houses to take care of) to be doing them on the regular back then, you’re punching above your weight class now.

As shadow, genius.

You know, one of the lowest tier, worst survivability specs right now?

I was dismayed today when I discovered we were going back to that abomination of a dungeon in Ardenweald. I’d blocked it successfully from my memory when all of a sudden, I found myself playing dodgeball and CC’ing blue foxes again in the spirit realm.

It was…not fun. But it was no more difficult than it was the first go around.

A new batch of M0’s in a fresh season is always a nice splash of cold water to the face to remind us all that world content is just not even remotely the same.

so it will be the new AA in S1 of DF that was notorious for being a beat your head and get trauma.

It’s not the designers that make a decision like that. It’s marketing that decides what the product should be, finance that raises the money from venture capital and management that makes the final decision.

It’s actually easier because they took the MC off the last boss and replaced it with a big AOE under the boss during his mind linking beam where you were already incentivized to be running apart to break it/ Plus the ghost deer don’t do spear flurry and instead drop a permanent(?) void zone on the ground during the maze trash. Arguable though if that is a nerf or buff since spear flurry was already easy enough to dodge.
