This is like the 5th time in 2 weeks I’ve done an event or killed a rare with a group and not gotten credit I put tickets in but they just delete it .
EDIT:It worked the second time but still not thrilled about having my time wasted this was more of a me venting than anything. My time to play this has been pretty limited lately as it is and hate having it wasted.
just tag the target ? or join a group in lfg . most stuff i dont bother join i just tag along and im able to tag some things just use aoe spells its ez .

when it turns grey you wont get credit . most stuff at events is yellow and red even if ur not in a raid group for the event . Ive done quite a few this way and have done just fine . But if you dont want to listen and just quit the game then be my guest ill open the door for you .

What is with people on the forums acting like this game isn’t always broken and always trying to blame the person having trouble.
Sometimes there is no loot or it autoloots stuff into your bag really fast.
Could try setting up a chat tab just to track all loot that you collect.
Maybe it is bugged.
It was a purple world quest and it didn’t complete had to do it a second time just now and it completed the second time. But I had to wait around for a second group to gather etc and waste a bunch of time I shouldn’t of had to.
It’s been like that since they started. Sure it’s a pain but it’s also nothing going back a few times doesn’t fix as oppsosed to putting in a ticket knowing its going to be quite awhile before seeing a response if any.
Easier and faster to just swing back to the rare , usually registers 3rd time.
is your group set to raid? might be issue but it should still count if i am not mistaken. If you die even when tagged sometimes it will count as a kill but quest wise it doesn’t count. happened to me in pvp wq idk why it even counts in general but it didn’t count towards my WQ and i didn’t even release until after it was killed which usually causes that issue
That probably was it because I died when it’s health was at 4% didn’t release the first time the second time I didn’t die and it counted. It’s still kinda BS to put all time of waiting for a group to gather putting in a bunch of work and not getting credit .

it also depends can it be done in a raid group sometimes it cant .
because usually the person we blame is doing a user error and it isnt infact a bug or anything .
Yea it happened to me today its dumb and idk why its like that it didnt used to be but i was doing a pvp wq. I guess they dont count a kill unless your alive for the quests but game wise it still counts it as a kill.
Possibly so people dont troll cause some do and auto attack it and afk
its common sense in any raid or wb wq to not release if the boss is about to die because you can still get credit aslong as you dont res .
