I had a active trinket last night, was finally glad when I got an upgrade that procs on it’s own.
Me. I always forget about them. Even worse are the targeted ones for healers.
Me, unless its a major upgrade like my 380 trinket I generally skip them because I know I will forget to use them. I dont need an extra button to press with my GCD.
I just macro them. Then turn off the Error Speech option in the System > Sound menu so I don’t get “I CAN’T USE THAT YET” spammed at me repeatedly.
i like the manual procs - then I can control their use to when I need them most.
I am really really surprised so many people don’t like this. They generally are more powerful and people have been complaining about not enough buttons to press…
I don’t even macro them, I find an on use trinket far easier to keep track of when raiding than one that procs.
I hate on use ones myself. I sometimes macro them to abilities just to remember them but that’s pretty bad. If I have to choose between a proc, passive, and on use, I’ll go with the proc or the passive. Only time I like on use is for healing and it’s a healing proc. Beyond that, I don’t care for them. My on use ones often spend the entire fight just sitting off cooldown until someone hits heroism/bloodlust and then I activate them … barring I remember to do so.
Yeah, I prefer random procs. I don’t do any content that requires tip-top, bleeding edge, precision dps. And it’s not like there’s anything super fun about any of the activatable trinkets. No flash animations or anything. It’s just an extra button to press.
I just tie them to one of my main attacks in a macro. Then I get use out of them, otherwise I forget too much. The one I have now I tie to Keg Smash, for example.
I honestly dont mind just slide them down on the action bar.
I do unless they are on the same timer for my main Cd then I can macro them togeather and forget about it
Yes… I always forget to use them. I even made a pair of macros that I placed on the right end of my bars, one above the other. that show thew trinkets and activate them when clicked. I’l post the macros, but I deleted them because I haven’t used one of those trinkets in well over a year.
I very much adore them when they perfectly line up with other CDs but outside of that I prefer random procs.
I am not a fan of them, I don’t like having to change various macros or add new things to bars when I get a new trinket.
I’ll sometimes go with a technically worse trinket if it has a passive proc or just static stats over an activated one.
I will take a stat hit to have a passive effect instead of a on use effect.
Dont even get me started if it has charges.
I do. Only reason I even use mine is because it’s high on my Tier list and was a 25 iLvl upgrade.
I’ve always preferred passive trinkets. I don’t raid, so it has never been an issue for me
I macro them in with my CD’s. Easy peasy.
I don’t like manual stat increase trinkets, though macroing them is easy to do and better for DPS/Healing, they’re just boring. The manual trinkets that act like an active skill can be fun.
i macro them in with a cooldown that’ll line up well.
on use trinkets tend perform better because of their on demand usage, letting you line it up with other cooldowns.
Me, I never remember to use them.
