I'm curious about your Wintergrasp results so far?

Only managed to squeeze in 3 matches last night on Alliance side (too busy with the new Allied races), but all 3 were losses. Lots of people just running around randomly PvPing on roads :roll_eyes: , seemed like most of our team had no idea what to do.

2 of the games were “fresh”, but the third one I got dropped into was an in-progress/losing game. How was everyone else’s night in this new bg?

0-2 lost both times attacking defense seems way easier

I /afk because I was put into ones already started, and of course losing

So far it seems like you’re either on Defense, or you lose.

Edit: Disregard, we just crushed one on offense. Must have been l2p issues.

Been really enjoying this. Just dumb brainless fun.

Won my first 3 on alliance side, then lost 2 or 3. Haven’t tried horde side yet. I was surprised at the general “niceness” of chat. We’ll see how that goes in future… :smile:

Once the Wrath veterans get involved in larger numbers and teach folks how to actually do Wintergrasp there’s a lot of potential fun to be had.

Alliance: 1-1, both offense
Horde 1-3, Three defense One offense

I’m actually loving this one, win or lose it’s a blast imo. A lot of people aren’t figuring out that to win offensively you absolutely need to get the siege nodes though. The loss I had on defense literally nobody was leaving the main base to harass those siege nodes :rofl:

You almost can’t lose defending if you follow the 30/10 rule. 30 stay at the keep and use catapults/demos to annihilate anyone getting close, 10 attack the south and pick off the towers over the course of the game.

Horde side: 0-3 so far, and not even close. 2 defense, 1 offense. Seems like I’m wearing cheesecloth armor

As a vet of the original accross many chars I can say it was fun to be back. I only played one but it was a win.

My take away from it was definitely to do some more and I wish warfronts were built on this model. So much fun.

3 losses for me. I wonder as time goes on and people learn what to do how things will change. It has a lot of potential to be fun but right now no one seems to know what they’re doing.

I was so excited to have an active version of my favorite pvp event again… Then I found out how many players never did Wintergrasp years ago and are utterly clueless.
Two matches on Alliance, both times on offense, and both times my team had no clue how to do Wintergrasp. They kept thinking we were winning because he one siege engine more than horde. I was the only person even assaulting the keep at all, everyone else just kept going off fighting other siege engines or pvping on the roads. Maybe Blizz should put out a big video re-explaining that the goal for offense is to get down the walls of the keep and kill the boss inside.

if they bother to listen at all, no one listens in BG’s to strats.

Just won a really fun one on alliance because enough people listened. It was sketchy for a bit, but we pulled it off thanks the folks directing and following orders, so to speak. Yay. :smile:

anyone else had a problem in WG with the Vehicle controls bugging out? I just got out of one where my #1 key worked fine driving a siege engine but as cannoneer it would not fire at all.

Yes, I got a bug in a demo where Hurl Boulder did not activate when I pressed #1.
Also, the camera bug is back too after exiting vehicles. Ugg :grimacing:

Hey blizz, can you please not start the BG with 30 v 40?

And can you please not let it continue as people AFK, giving a free reward to the side with 40?
