i feel like im the only young person playing this game, im only 19 but it seems like it because this game sorta fails to bring in new players
I was 19 once in 1973
There are young people playing. I had a very young woman see me wearing a WoW shirt at the store about two weeks ago, and she said, “For the Horde” under her breath as she passed us and then smiled.
We have 3 active players under 20 in our guild, and we have about 10 under 30. In order to be good at (have the necessary reflexes) and have time for mythic raiding at the highest level, one almost has to be very young. You’ll find most of the people who chase regional and world firsts in mythic raiding are very young, indeed. I would imagine a healthy piece of the arena population is quite young, also.
There are still young people playing WoW. They just typically don’t go around advertising it. I believe younger Gen X and elder Millennials are still the majority of the player base, but there’s plenty of Zoomies in there, too.
You are. You should be ashamed.
Now get off my lawn.
Please.
I’m 23 close enough
I know this is supposed to be a troll reply but there is simply no need to be so rude regardless. Like who hurt you exactly to go after someone this hard XD. For all you know they’ve been playing since they were younger, was the case for me when I started playing.
This escalated unexpectedly.
Yup. They’re 19.
I’m 20, in my guild at least there is a surprising number of young folks. I feel like most get drawn in because their parents used to play though and just never quit tbh.
Fixed for accuracy
And this behavior right here is why there are plenty of people who see Gen Z’ers in a bad light. There was no need for this attitude and it’s obvious that your dad needed to take a belt to your behind because i imagine you haven’t acted too good with your parents either.
Fortunately, i don’t see one person as representing an entire generation. Some do though.
Christ I’m 20. Damn
age demographic is 24-40
never understood the whole generation war thing. it just rings as cringe to me but what do I know.
The game does feel abit boomer-y, everything move so slow & telegraphed but it’s nice to play when i just want to turn off my brain.
In its prime, our guild had anywhere from age 15 to 50s+. Today, most of our youngest members are the children of longtime members. I’d guess all of us who are active are in our late 20s - 40s.
For some reason every generation thinks the next one has it easier or is weaker than their own.
Kind of an odd phenomenon but I catch myself looking at my kids sometimes and thinking how they don’t appreciate some things like I would have at their age.
It’s full of folks that grew up with the franchise. So 28-35 is what if wager.
each generation upgrade their standards
Todays younger generation seems to be more xbox and less MMO. A lot of people would debate that the idea of MMOs are kind of a dead concept. Seems unless they started wow years ago its harder for them to “Stick with it”
Im older myself. I was 19 in 1983 lol
