I'm confused about Argussian Reach rep

So I completed You are now prepared, and I’m barely honored. I’m trying to farm Argussian Rep but I’ve noticed on both Krokuun and Antoran Wastes, there is ONLY Army of light world quests. Not a single Argussian Reach WQ. Why does Army of Light get two entire islands of WQ’s?
I feel extremely discouraged, and at this point it’s going to take me forever to unlock void elves if I only get 5 WQ on Mac’aree a day…

I believe some actually give you rep for both. Actually I think most of them do.

All of the rare elite quests on Argus give rep for both, even if only one of them is listed.

Correct all WQs give both rep

There are 9-12 Elite quests up per day in my experience. These will give you the best bang for your buck.

Should I contact support then? I just completed 2 different Army of Light rare elite world requests and got 0 argussian reach reputation from them.

I think it’s blue wq, I don’t know specifics but I’m pretty sure most give you rep for both. Some are specific. Also I believe rares give you rep too, you have to forgive me it’s been too long since I had to farm the rep lol.

You have to do the story quests a little more, the wq you want with that rep are on mac’aree. You may need to get more army of light rep to continue the story though, im not 100% on that one.

Edit: So after looking, its weird you only have 5 mac’ree wq. you may need to finish the whole story. On 3 of my toons i have 8+ wq there

That’s definitely strange. As far as I know they were changed so that you gain both reps from all WQs long after I was already exalted with both unless theres something about it I’m missing.

You have to unlock Mac’Aree. Then all rare/elite WQ’s will give rep for both factions, regular WQ’s will only give rep for the faction listed.

Also check in for the Argussian emissary at the Vindicar, as I believe weekly he will give you 1500 rep with Argussian Reach for completely 4 (I think?) Argussian WQ’s.

After completing the Argus storyline it took me about a week and a half of JUST doing WQ’s to unlock void elves.

Also just as a side point, this is much easier to breeze through, especially for the elite WQ’s, if you’re doing it on a 120 character. Also be aware you need atleast a 110 alliance toon to do the final recruitment quest.

this. more than one poster has noticed argus for some bosses has gotten “harder”. There may have been an HP buff snuck in. It feels like the elites take more than they used to for me there on paragon runs for me too. Recall them a bit easier about a month or 2 ago on the rep run for unlock anyway.

120 with some decent BFA gear you get a tank even for say MM hunters that is hard to break. Just grind them down with the damage…

The elite bosses do double dip.

there will be 2 weekly reset quests for edit: rep. They double dip. One will be light boy kill several bosses for some crystal. One will be an incursion quest from Illidan (either 3 minor or 1 greater).

Work your table. make sure you pick up the argus minions for the table. They help on argus based mission tables to boost success rate.

Take this time to make some gold. You will pile up the veiled crystal. Flip if for gear to sell at the vendor on the ship. Not great gold up front, it adds up in bulk though since this gear is pure transmog if you hit it at 120.

When I did it, some Army of the light world quests also gave Argussian reputation; I think it was the ones with blue icons. You also get Argussian rep from, I think, all invasions, and certainly the invasion weekly quest. Also at some point you get Argus reputation missions in your class hall; that helps too.

It does seem like forever when you’re doing it, but it’s worth it.

Their respawn rate is pretty decent back when I grinded I did 1 set when I woke up and 1 set when I got home from work in the evening. This took me about a month but since they doubled it it should take you a week or a week and a half I reckon. No it’s not fun but I came to terms with it eventually

thank you but I got the expansion and it gave me a 110 there was no table or followers, it would take me weeks to level them up to even be able to run argus missions

I am also in the process of unlocking those allied races. I’m not going to bother with the order hall stuff now though, I’ll just do the quests as they pop up and hope for Argussian and Army of Light emissary quests.
Turalyon and Illidan’s weekly missions are good rep though. Next week there’s supposed to be double rep, AND Darkmoon faire so if you play your cards right you can get a nice boost in your rep gain.

If there haven’t been any changes since BFA, here are the oppurtunities to get AR rep back in legion. Hopefully there are still all there.

  • Weekly quests: Fuel of a Doomed World and Invasion Onslaught from Turalyon and Illidan on the Vindicaar for total of 2000. (These also give a total of 2000 rep for AotL as well.)
  • Seat of the Triumvirate WQs for 250 rep
  • Scan for AR WQs in Krokuun and Mac’Aree for 75 rep apiece. Additionally, rare elite WQs in any Argus zone will give both AR and AotL rep even if the tooltip doesn’t say so.
  • Emissary quest: Argussian Reach for 1500 rep
  • Emissary quest: Kirin Tor - choose the AR token for 750 rep
  • Invasion point bosses have a chance to drop AotL and AR insignias
  • Mission table AR insignias for 250 rep (+750 if you are lucky on the bonus)

Also, as of patch 8.1, WQ’s that give rep with Highmountain, Nightfallen, AotL and Argussian Reach give double the rep.

Forgot about this one. Didn’t rares also give out rep I can’t remember. But I thought they did.

What is the double rep for? How do I get the double rep? I dont see anything about a double rep event on the calendar?

It’s in the amount now. Argus got 2 times the rate of rep from prior patches.

It’s decent. I hit up Argus more now for paragon runs now even.
