Honestly enough is enough. Affliction is straight up garbage out side of raids, HOW CAN YOU NOT IMPLEMENT SOME EASY NUMBER TWEAKS TO MAKE US A REAL SPEC???

So what is the complaint exactly? I’m having a great time with affliction. It feels pretty samey as it did in Legion, even without having Life Tap.
I do admit, I don’t like juggling so many dots, but if you take Absolute Corruption it frees a ton of time to keep your DPS high.
I’m only 370ish but I’ve really enjoyed Aff since I came back. Only been playing about a month in BFA.

so since you are only 370 you basically have no clue what youre talking about
aff is trash in m+ and is good/great in raid, but still gets beat out by spriest which is a hybrid class(and spriest is much better in M+ as well)

Part of the appeal with affliction was that it was never cooldown dependent. It was just steady, consistent damage that required maintenance. Mobile through dots and had good survivability.
Now, it has one of the best burst openers, albeit with a huge setup. This is fun, but not what drew me to the spec previously and means the rest of the damage output is balanced around cooldowns. Mobility has tanked with shadowbolt as filler. Now that drain life isn’t filler, durability isn’t as great either.
I hated soul effigy. But I liked it a lot better than what afflock is in BfA.

anyone is entitled to say anything but when we are talking about the spec in m+ and raid, and hes 370… like sure my delivery isnt the best but come on
aff has like what? 2 talent rows where you can make an actual choice. we have way to many simply dead talents. spec needs work.

The game as a whole becomes less fun when the community engages in toxic behavior. It seems like you are the type of player that just sees ilvl or spec and immediately writes off the player.
At the end of the day, it’s just a game. And it’s not like you are in Method or Limit, so being antagonistic just makes you a negative player.
BFA isn’t even a top tier expansion, so I plan on just playing the game as a game.

Like it or not they could easily improve warlocks in m+ and aff in pvp. If it trickled into being overpowered in pvp they can easily adjust things just for pvp. A vile taint or sow the seeds buff wouldn’t do much of anything for pvp for example. Even balance druids are far superior than every lock spec in m+ now.
Just have to accept for whatever reason blizzard wants warlocks to be good at raids and somewhat good at pvp and bad at m+. We are ok now at pvp although I haven’t done much since the demon armor nerf.
The best thing you can do is take your money elsewhere if your set on mythic+ as a warlock. After the last nerf its pretty clear where they want warlocks. I’m debating on gearing a mage myself as all I really do is pug and I’m tired of raiding. They also seem to have longer periods of not being having dumpster specs. As much as these other classes cry about warlocks being good in raids its not like they are getting denied spots because they do abit less damage unless its a top cutting edge guild.

It’s so frustrating knowing that very simple number tweaks would fix this issue. Seed of corruption 1.5 second cast time. Seed of corruption damage increased by 25%. Mythic plus fixed! That’s it. That’s literally it. Make it so have we have an actual talent row. It’s pathetic that you have three talents in one row, and the same talent wins in every situation that isn’t continuous 8+ mob cleave. Like it phantom gets beat by seeds if you have CONSTANT 8 mob cleave. It can’t be 8 mobs most of the time, because then you loose too much on boss fights from not having PS.
Arena fix isn’t as straight forward, but still easy. Choose any of the 5 most commonly requested fixes, and fix it.

Yup… like it or not the fixes could be easily done without effecting pvp because they can adjust the damage now and there really isn’t a reason this far into the expansion to have a class that performs so poorly in one area of the game for all specs.
There is really no argument for it. Even highly played hybrid classes do better.

Oh, did we forget the part where you stole an identity off us (META) and gave it to the DH fanboys, totally selling out? Yup.

Meanwhile, in M+ (15++) since they gimped demo i’ve seen 2x pally, druid, shaman, boomkin, rogue, DH PER group comps, yet there’s no room for a SINGLE warlock…

You can’t be serious with this. The nerf to seed and the loss of the death explosion has left Affliction in BFA severely wanting.
Yes, Affliction single target in BFA is great but the AoE is where the problem is.

Affliction is top 3 spec in BoD and the guy is complaining…
As if BoD is the entire game experience. Some of us don’t raid at all. So yeah this statement is entirely missing the boat.

The OP normally complains about mythic+ only. He’d be right, Affliction is terrible in m+.
