At the end of the expansion, DF dragons will somehow lose their flight speed and become basic. That or we have to give them up to “Save/Guard” the Dragon Isles.

Knowing Blizz MO, I think they’ll just abandon DF flying mechanics and go back to regular flying in 11.0.
Haven’t they literally said it depends on how it’s received?
Basically if people like it, that will be flight from then on and older models will be brought up to work on it. If they don’t, it’ll go away and current flight remains the paradigm.

I’d expect they would only be usable in Dragon Land. I’m expecting a “tax” already of everything being so damn far apart you will always need them or be miserable while there.

They’ll see how it is received. Story wise; nothing will happen with our drakes I assume. Blizz MIGHT just open it up so you can use it elsewhere or simply it ends up being forgotten and they’ll work on another ‘’ pathfinder but not pathfinder ‘’ way of dealing with slowing us down.

I hope this is what they do and mechanically expand it to all flying mounts and the previous flyable zones.

There are going to be quite a few mounts that system won’t make sense for though… Basically anything that doesn’t have wings.
