It’s been said we might see him in shadowlands, he just won’t be a big part of it. They wanna focus more in Sylvanas and the Jailer
he will be like how illidan is in legion.

Deathwing is also coming back. And Archimonde and Garrosh too. It’ll be a fun little bad guy reunion.

Well that’s good because it seemed like every time you turned around in WotLK, there was the Lich King. Lich King in my raid, dungeon, quest line, behind the couch. Oh there’s the Lich King chillin’ in my refrigerator.
He’s dead dead, Death Knights are under new management now, and I sort of hope Arthas might want to keep a low profile when we show up.

Jaina will then go on to reconnect with Arthas and somehow manage to bring him back from the shadowlands. She’ll keep him locked up in some tower so that he’ll never be tempted to become bad again and she’ll live happily ever.
Pretty sure the point of shadowlands is that all the dead heroes and villains can return… so I expect everyone to show up.
