I'm bringing this subject up again: Centaurs

With the coming of “dragons” as playable races, why couldn’t centaurs come as allied races in the future?

The first thing that comes to mind is: “but the armor and equipment wouldn’t work”

And how will a cape, or chest, work on a flying dragon?

They have air strikes, you know?

During these attacks the dragon form would have trouble displaying capes or chests properly. So equipment is no longer a “barrier”. It never really was, because the druids’ moonking form also hides the set…

It’s all a matter of equipment slot, not necessarily the equipment needs to appear.
Take, for example, the feet of tauren, trolls and draenei, the foot equipment becomes “anklet”. Nobody seems to have any huge complaints for this.

Centaurs would have 4 feet, so what?
They would automatically run like the worgen. There could be a Cenarios blessing for flight mode called “cenarian pegasus”.

The Backs could be reduced or just be slots or have special covers for the horse’s back, or stay on the human part, whatever.

I would love to play centaur archer and centaur DK.

I’m a Sagittarius, I will always love archer centaurs.

Long live to centaurs!

Of course, hair, face and body details should be done well so they don’t look ugly but that’s just a detail.

Centaurs are Greek in origin. Yet in WoW they are Mongolian.

Maybe, and Ally could get Dryads and Horde could get Centaurs.

Ok seriously, they’re not going to give us a four-legged race. This game is too much invested into mounts and vehicles. The next xpac is about a new type of vehicle.

Yeah that’s true. There may be ways around it though. Like a human form out of combat that could be selectable normally, but automatic when you mount. That’s at least a workaround, albeit not very interesting.

AFAIK there are no centaurs or dryads with an avatar. Worgen and dragons make sense but they don’t.

I seriously doubt they are going to happen, ever.

They won’t. Because the armor isn’t shown in dragonman form.

Also the centaur clan that attacked the tauren, they are part of a specific clan, right? there could be other clans, including a new one in the draconic isles, that could be an allied race…

Definitely two sets of abdominal muscles and two rib cages. I guess nothing has to be behind those though. Although I could see a multi-stage stomach and probably a very large heart.

Sure, have as much faith as you want, but I’m telling ya they’re not going to add a race that can’t use the 800+ mounts they have added to the game or vehicles.

However, I’m not telling you not to ask for them, just being realistic.

I know, it was a rhetorical question. If in that form armor doesn’t matter then in centaurs it would also be trivial (or almost).

Edit: and maybe I missed where you addressed this, but how do centaur fly?

Improbable but possible. An Emerald dream expansion has been rumored for years. That’d be a place for it. WoW’s looking for a new direction, that’d be a time for it. And there are ways to use existing mounts through multiple forms.
