Anyone else feeling totally burned out, zero interest in the gear grind, the faction grind, the everything grind? I just can’t bring myself to log on for more than an hour.
You should probably unsub for a bit then
Not really? But I haven’t logged in for about a month. As each day passes my fondness for the game grows while my desire to play remains the same. A good break is always a good break. Be it games or bones.
Kinda.
so true bestie
Yup. Too little too late.
They had me on a drip feed system so I got burned out.
Thought I could come play the game, but apparently Blizzard only releases early access products and never releases a fully finished product until a few months before they release their next early access product.
By the time the game becomes fun and enjoyable, I’m already burned out on all the time gating mechanics for drips of sewage and crumbs of stale bread.
They think they know what to do, but they don’t. They think limiting content and producing less and less content is a replacement for content. Unfortunately, only the smallest and most loyal playerbase is dumb enough to fall into that, the rest of us just get literally burned out and quit.
It only gets worse and worse with each expansion, so it’s kinda of a “that’s all your going to get, and less, going forward” situation. The only way to come out better going forward is to just not buy it. By the time the game is out of early access, it will be offered up for free anyways. Might as well wait for that final season of each expansion, and save tons of money, while also being able to enjoy a halfway fleshed out expansion.
Them snuffing out every other mmo since its conception has created a dull market.
Not worth the sub fee anymore. twenty-three days left on token. I am at 382 and have no desire to go higher in PVP.
ya why i log in a little play a little then just disappear for a bit. dragonflight is okay besides i just want normal flying but the game is just boring after all these yrs there’s nothing truly new and exciting happening to make me want to log in and truly play. a totally new endgame might of done the trick but nothing.
I’d say a lot of those MMO’s snuffed themselves, unfortunately.
I have a weird thing where I get bored during March/April every year. Idk what it is, but it’s always springtime. Regardless of what’s happening in my life. So I unsub, and come back after a patch has probably happened and then I have so much to do.
I feel the same 100%.
After the honeymoon “ooOOooh new expansion!!!” feeling went away, it just felt like another product made by the same old soulless modern Blizzard. The polish that was ever-present in previous expansions is nowhere to be seen now.
I renewed my sub two weeks ago because it expired in the middle of me grinding M+, but I’ve only played for maybe an hour total since that day.
I wonder what XIV is up to now that they’re a few updates into Endwalker?
What grind?
I had a buddy feel the same way. Wasn’t enjoying the game, so he quit.
You know what he didn’t do? Post on the forums about it.
Best sign you need a break. Enjoy… come back if/when you’re refreshed and excited.
Then leave. Don’t need to write a memoir about it. It’s a video game. Just go. Do literally anything else. Not a hard concept.
Is there something more specific you’d like to talk about in the General Discussion section of the forums?
Serious question btw
Real question. But when do you think wow had more than this 3 months into launch?
The polish of releasing vanilla without bgs or molten core? The polish of tbc when servers crashed for days? The awesomeness of releasing Wrath with recycled naxx? Or when they timegated ICC? Or even better, when they scraped the last tier and shoe-horned ruby sanctum in?
WoW players are crazy delusional.
I never got into a gear grind because I refuse to pug now and I don’t have friends to run content with, and professions aren’t fun for me, the open world stuff is boring so yeah, I’m bored with Dragonflight.
I have to agree with you. I’ve come to the conclusion that the big wigs at Blizzard are only trying to milk as much money out of their dwindling customer base as they can. So it is time to go. I’m playing a much better game now, one that isn’t full of bugs, mandatory endless grinds, and has a pretty nice server based community to boot!
Two days left on my sub and the people in the forum that get annoyed by me not towing the line will be rejoicing!
