As long they do a good job with their inspired implementations its fine. Guild Wars is dead, nobody cares about their mounts.

While I agree that the talent should be removed, I disagree with the rng state. You can track the buff and trigger it with low cost buttons or wait until its gone before you press your important buttons.

But yes, instead of that talent, they should make monk mobile again. It went from one of the most mobile melees once into a state where it is one of the melees that is the most easy to kite. Not having uptime as a melee feels like a caster being inlined. Roots are like silences and snares are like kicks …

Oh, 100%. It’s not without counterplay. However, I have done things like throw a knife, have it dodged and the stack reset, and then still have kidney shot get dodged. That’s something that I don’t think is okay for the game.

Bring back skyreach?

Could be one option, but personally I would prefer something like DKs have. A range slow with like 20 yards and a passive limit to the movement speed reduction, so you couldn’t be snared below 70% for example.

I think thats a MUCH better retuning for windwalk than skyreach where you’d just have permanent uptime. I like this idea.

Even with skyreach you wouldn’t have permanent uptime. Don’t forget it was a 10 yards gap closer that triggered a gcd. So when you were slowed, your target was already gone on your next gcd again.

But at least it would fix those perma passive slows coming from rogues, rets, ferals, warriors, etc. that are just a toxic game design.

Idk, with the exceptions of arcane mages and warlocks porting los (and even in the case of locks on smaller maps), I had 90%+ uptime on ww easy even vs caster +hpal with freedom.

Sure, but you almost always had a teammate that could apply a slow or even a fraction of a second delay to connect and apply fof or disable.

I think the biggest problem is rogue tbh. Ret is dispellable with a cd, dk has a rune cost, feral is dispelable by diseases and applies on the bleed application, warrior is cumbersome and on the gcd… rogue is just ALWAYS THERE. Perma chains + tongues zzz.

We removed blade dance dodge because it was stupidly toxic and this is just more of the same.

It’s gotta go.

nah ww is crazy fun

Oh okay good call Luke.

We remove things from other classes repeatedly because they’re terrible designs and bad for the game but you’re having fun so I guess it’s okay.

Think Warrior will be fun on Tuesday?

This is all that matters to me, and it should be all that matters to everyone else. That IM having fun…

Ya warrior probably gonna be broken

As long as your power is put to use making spriest miserable we can overlook your cooked WW takes.

Warriors still gonna be disabled, slowed, snared, rooted, for 80% of the time in any content.

I wish they had added monks to diablo 4

They did, the green monks are just from a different religion :joy: :joy: :joy:

Exactly, I want chinese monks

Even Blizzard knows these aren’t monks as we would expect and instead calls them “Spiritborn” or whatever royalty free name they came up with

that new amazon mmo has an active parry button, so that’s pretty neat
