Im at the point where I believe that Blizzard is screwing up Faction Balance on purpose

We had a nice thing going. Then you friked it up by not putting transfers in check and capping faction populations.

We keep seeing more and more alliance refugees from every server available every day but when i go to try and transfer my Horde here to Earthfury from Stalagg my only option is heartseeker and arcanite reaper still.

At this point i gotta believe Blizzard is throwing the population imbalances out of whack on purpose.

I actually don’t think most servers are unbalanced.

You guys really trust some sketchy “census” data made by god knows who over a bunch of people whose goal from the start of releasing the game was to make it a success? I don’t really understand

Some servers are, like Skeram or whatever but I’m pretty convinced most servers aren’t as bad as people think

Edit: like again, who makes these census graphs? Some dude in his basement could be just making up * and posting it and having the time of his life reading the stuff people post on here

I can not speak on the reality of most servers. I can only give you a glimpse of watching these past two weeks go by on my server.

Yes they made everyone roll horde except on a few pvp servers. Oh wait…

You can’t claim that “not doing” something is the same as doing something. That is nonsense.

Saying Blizzard is not actively working towards “faction balance” IN NO WAY implies they are working against it. It just shows they are not working towards it.

You should compare the last two weeks in Classic with the first 2 weeks in Vanilla that Honor was in the game. What was that like?

It was probably exactly like the last two weeks in Classic – except with fewer players writing the forums to demand that Blizzard “fix it”.

But faction imbalance has been a thing since vanilla. Sooooo. %NoChANgeS n allat
Right?

-Undead Rogue.

I’m going to have to cut and paste this response multiple times but here you go:

Bliz doesn’t create faction balance. Players do.

“Oh, I want to play on server X with all my friends!”

Bliz: “No faction imbalance. You can’t play on server X with your friends.”

“Cancel sub! BLIZ HATES FACTION X!!!”

Or, the most popular recently:

“My faction is being destroyed in PVP on my PVP server! Bliz change the faction balance!”

Bliz: “We’re sorry, you can’t role X faction on this server to play with your friends. Faction balance isn’t right.”

“CANCEL!!! BLIZ RUINED THE GAME!!!”

Is this for real?

People dont think man. People see it is bad. People play on these servers.
And it is not bad. It is terrible and unplayable

Yeah I have 1 hour death runs to MC sometimes but I never complain

Also the one person in here who complained about it has a 53% alliance on her server. What does that say about people who complain lol

I don’t see how an automated /who process for every zone for every level character is “sketchy”…

Over the course of a couple weeks, the data is reliable.

That’s about as unreliable as it can get unless you go into ironforge and start doing a head count

Didn’t they break /who? And people still believe it works? That don’t make sense

https://ironforge.pro/servers?region=us&filter=true

laughs in calculus

You have never used /who before?

blizzard attempted to break it so they could keep the information secret. The mod authors fixed it a few weeks ago.

Idk IDC anymore its just a shame you guys gotta polute the forums with this *

You seriously think Blizzard is laughing maniacally in a conference room somewhere at the faction imbalance?

You think everyone there is a chimpanzee or something? I don’t understand

I think they want to break balance as much as possible and then save the day with PAID character transfers.

Lol that’s like 9/11 tinfoil hat theories

well, look how they handled release day…

16 total servers, 20 hour queues, 30k people per server.

It’s not faction imbalance, it’s overpopulation mainly. They are mostly right when they say servers were imbalanced in vanilla, though Classic has slanted toward 80/20 on several realms primarily due to the free transfer exodus. They are wrong when they imply that the actual issues on imbalanced servers with “Classic” population limits were this bad in vanilla with its (#changes) lower pop limits.
