It’s absolutely crazy that I have yet to find any brew masters performing well in keys. I think I’m 407 item level and I run double defensive trinkets with the scale and the eranog trinket (402). I run blackout combo and chi surge as my floating points so I’m not even built very offensively.
But I ran about nine keys today range between 17-20 and I was slamming both DPS and I finish an AA +18 at 77k DPS and 32k HPS (10k above the healer) just behind 2nd place and we 2 chested it. Did a Nokhud Offensive +17, finished 2nd at 63k DPS and 31k HPS (above the healer).
I’ve run a few hundred keys this season and I can also say I’ve not seen a prot warrior come anywhere close to the performance I put out. Despite being fully defensively built, I do so much damage and I usually require less than 25% of the healers overall healing. Having celestial brew up every 15-20 seconds is just insane, plus three other defensives all on roughly a 2 minute CD.
I think the only saving grace for us not getting nerfed is that we have a pretty high skill cap that I’ve yet to see many brewmasters achieve at this level. Most of the remasters of my skill are probably pushing to the mid-20s. I just don’t really care to push further than just getting my portals in 421 gear.
that just means that whatever pugs you did keys with were lack luster. brew has crazy damage but like all tanks, if your 3 dps are lack luster then you’ll consistently find yourself doing inflated numbers. my vdh often finds itself at 3 or 2nd place in dps depending on key level.
lowkey brewmaster deserves to have strong damage and a fluid defensive value when played well because of its skill cap. you wil lsee some incredibly paper brews out there. while prot warrior is significantly easier to play and overtuned to a fault, because a bad prot warrior will still be good. you’ll notice the amount of misplays fotm warrior players do that would kill any other tank.
this of course if you find a actual warrior main. you’ll notice a extreme difference between them a fotm warrior. the amount of minmaxing you can do as prot warrior is amazing
Raider io doesn’t always update right away. I have been trying to update my M+ for days on my Monk and no matter how many scans I do it’s not updating so .
Idk why he’s being so secretive?

He’s having great success as brew looking at his raider io yet he’s afraid to show/claim his main for some reason. It almost makes you think he’s either lying about his numbers since screen shots are so easy to produce now.
I’d love for Botan to make an appearance here and say this is my build. This is what I’m doing and my healers love me, my dps players are jealous of me, here’s proof. Yet we get level 22 Hokushin telling us how green the grass was.
Every Tank is legit a step behind Prot War, they’re over-tuned as hell right now. No one comes close to PW right now. Brew feels a lot better after 10.0.5, but Blizz really is focusing more on Self-Healing for Tanks nowadays rather than actual Tankiness and damage mitigation so :
