I'm about to give in

I love WoW. It’s pretty much the only game I play. When I get tired of it I usually don’t move on to other games. I do other random stuff. But recently I’ve been thinking about getting Diablo 4. It’s everywhere. In my TikTok, my Twitter, my coworkers talking about it, my bnet friends playing it, and my favorite (non-gaming) streamer recommended it.

I know a lot of you WoW forum people are probably playing it too. So would you recommend it to someone who primarily plays WoW?

I’d wait till some serious reviews come in -before you indulge… JMO

I am going to wait for the price to drop some. 70 dollars is a bit much in my opinion.

I don’t think it’s wise to put Diablo IV on a huge sale until people like you (no offense OP) who buy things a little later because they hear good things from friends and streamers buy it, it would be an unnecessary discount. Obviously, Blizzard will also know this (at least, let’s hope that as a multi billion dollar company, they’re paying someone who knows this). So it’s really a waiting game, can you wait until Blizzard tries to boost sales for their next quarterly report? This fiscal quarter ends at the end of June so it definitely won’t go on sale before then.

Is Diablo a sandbox game or is your character stuck to moving on a track?

I really dislike the track movement option but some games have that still.
Idk if Diablo still does.

looks good to me!

I just watched the Lazy Peon,He has some reservations about this game. His review was before the release but he doubts the things he spoke won’t be fixed by then.

I’m the same way and I just started playing D4. I liked Torchlight, because it’s brighter and my poor vision can see it better, but with D4, if I play it at night with no lights on, I can see it fine. LOL

It’s a nice break if you need one. Or if you just want to supplement.

I also play SWTOR.

Meh. I’d rather play the new Zelda game.

That game is being amazing. I’ve heard of people putting 100 hours on it before even deciding to tackle the main story.

Like a few others have said, I’d wait for the price to come down a little. Give the game time to work out some kinks and what not.

Diablo games are fun. I do enjoy them, and I will eventually play D4, just not right now.

I don’t understand how waiting for other people to trail a path, and then listening to their opinions to make your decision isn’t being a follower.
:stuck_out_tongue:

I’d wait. There are still so many things wrong with d4, including itemization. lots of useless stats. (IE resistances) Power creep is already huge, and we’re not even into a season yet. I’d honestly wouldn’t play it till they figure things out.

If you like the large amount of spells and hotkeys of WoW you will not like Diablo 4. If you like condensed DPS builds and rotations then it is fine.

If you like the group/social/raid aspect of WoW you will not like Diablo 4.

That all out of the way. It’s a very good game. I wouldn’t recommend it to all WoW players though.

To each their own. I wouldn’t want to throw out $99.00 for a game that has not any decent player feed back. You might have the money to throw around…Good for you~

My 2 cents – the campaign is incredible and is a lot of fun to run around and farm. Campaign alone isn’t enough to justify ticket price, but if you enjoy doing semi-grindy farms, it’s for sure worth it.

I wanna play Diablo but im not paying $70 just to try it and if i dont like it

It’s the honeymoon phase and I already see people having issues with it…
If you don’t mind spending the money then just ask yourself if you like ARPG’s and if you ever played diablo 3 or diablo in general.

Cause as someone who at least played diablo 2 and its expansion religiously back in the early 2000’s… when looking back at it… it gets old REAL fast.

Then you just mindlessly grind for items.

D4 I read tried some new stuff but didn’t really do it well.

So ya… take it for what you may.

It makes WoW and Diablo 1-3 feel boring.

I’d wait for a sale. $70 for a top down hack n slash looter in this, the year of our Lord 2023 is a big ask. They know Path of Exile is free, right?
