I'm a Satisfied Customer

I had a good time playing Classic.
Had to sit in a many hours long queue, but it was worth it.
Despite the sloppy launch, I’m feeling optimistic.
Thanks for making this a reality Blizz. You’ve earned my sub.

I’m glad I’m not the only one fully at peace with the queues and having a mad time so far (when I do get in).

Launch was pretty smooth on my server with just a couple minor hiccups. I played all evening, went to bed, then woke up in the middle of the night too excited to sleep.

So I crawled out of bed to get a little more game time in. Turns out I was even more excited about this game than I thought (and I was already excited)

Reading stuff like this fully gets me buzzed

I was able to play from launch with no queue on 2 different servers. I got up to level 5 on both as a rogue. I just need to decide which i will use. I got the names i wanted on the new server but i always play rp servers and the new one is not rp.

I had a blast

Feels pretty good playing on a lower pop server. I got disconnected last night and only had a 5 minute queue to get back in

That’s like saying mcdonalds came out with a new sandwich I don’t like. So I’m never eating anything from them again.

I don’t believe you.

Hubby and I got lucky on Mankrik. Logged in right away and played without a hiccup until nearly 11. We took our time and had a blast. The most notable thing was standing in line for an hour waiting for the first quest boss. It was both astounding and heartwarming that it worked so well. Only 2 linebreakers in the whole hour and it started out only 1 head per kill. About 3/4 through the line and it was hotfixed to where the whole group got a (chunk of) severed head.

As the pocket healer, I was attempting to buff and heal everyone around me but my mana pool was not so generous, lol. I felt bad when I got tunnel vision and completely missed the poor warrior running up to die at my feet. Good times!!

Me as well! My hat (horns?) are off to Classic team. Aside from one apparent mass disconnect on EST realms (?) which didn’t affect me, once I got through the queue everything was smooth. I only observed layering kick in once, in the area where new characters spawn (i.e. where they’d be affected least). Players chatting, partying up (or at least attempting to) for quests. Everything looked great!

Kudos guys!!!

I had a blast last night and this morning. Having been around for other MMO and major expansion launches I was impressed at how smoothly this went. I view queues as the result of player choices and the inevitable result of technological bottlenecks. Yes, there were some outrageous wait times, but the servers were remarkably stable given how many people were loading them up. I was even more impressed to see a whole slew of new servers up this morning. That tells me they really were prepared and only needed actual, real time, data to decide how many to spin up.

Game play has been a blast so far and I look forward to many more weeks and months in Azeroth again.

While the ques do suck, everyone should have expected them. We all knew the hype coming into classic launch. if anything, it just shows how popular the game really is and makes me confident for the longevity of the game. I’m sure with the maintenance coming up they will make adjustment to try and push us through the que faster.

hubby and I chose Mankrik as well. and were amazed at how smooth everything went. as you mentioned, we had to wait in line for a couple of the mobs but, everyone was patient and nice. Hubby was also happy with the realm I chose

I just watched all the drama last night and logged in this morning on Incendius. All of this was 100% expected and I am happy with my decision to wait until this morning to play.

I’m happy too. BTW since I play on the RP server I got to login just after an 1 minute queue ^^

What exactly are u upset about…the fact a ton of people were trying to logon classic wow…on launch day… and You had to wait a few mins to logon. I had to wait 40 mins. Really wasn’t that big of a deal especially considering when I did get in there were no buggy issues, no crashes, and no real server issues. Look back at other launch days, specifically wotlk, cata, and tbc. There was crashing constantly, bugs, and all sorts of problems. I was surprised to see none of these issues even though they were highly expected.

low pop this morning was much more playable than any of the stress tests.
especially by 6 am eastern.

I’m happy too.

Please dont take your horns of, that will hurt like heck.

I’ll add that I’m also having a good time. Switched from Pagle to Atiesh during the name reservation period to avoid the queues. Glad I did as I only had a 1 hour queue last night and then played with no issues. A little bit of lag in Northshire but that was expected and really wasn’t bad at all.

Good job so far Blizz!
