I show up to the instance in cloth, don’t complain when you see me rolling need on all of the cloth drops that have int/spirit or +healing.
Hope she sees this king, thanks for making this thread
Honestly, I assume paladins are gonna roll on just about everything, so I don’t invite them unless I know them already. Same with Hunters.
I promise I won’t complain … I’ll just kick you from the group before we even get started.
If they’re healing why the hell would you kick them for rolling on healing gear?
Lmao ppl complain when paladins are ret, so we cant roll on dps gear.
Now we cant roll on healing gear also… better to delete char.
If you’re brought to heal, nobody should complain that you’re rolling on healing gear.
If you aren’t brought to heal, the actual healer should get first dibs. Main spec > off spec(and your main spec is the role you were invited to do).
One of these days, people will understand that the concept of “armor type” only really started in Cata when they gave a bonus for using the highest armor type you can equip. Before that, all equipable armor types were valid things to roll on if the stats made sense.
Signed,
A Classic mage that will lose tons of gear
So if a warrior is kind enough to sword and board, or a druid is kind enough to go bear so you have a tank, they shouldn’t be allowed to roll on dps gear or healing gear if that is their main role?
It has always been important for PVP. No exceptions. A lesser armor type would have to have just about godly stats to be worth using. Unless you love getting rolled over 0 effort by rogues/warriors/hunters.
That should be sorted out prior to the run starting, which people might be willing to wave for the tank because of tank shortages on some servers.
The default setting though should be main spec > off spec unless otherwise stated.
Otherwise you get Paladins just rolling need on everything because “Oh I can use it for my off spec”.
Edit: I should also note it’s MS > OS. It doesn’t mean that the Warrior tank can’t roll on DPS gear. It means the DPS gets first dibs. Then the tank/healer. Then greed rolls.
It depends on the Group. If it’s a PuG I’d say you roll on the role you’re in at the time. It’s why I never run dungeons with PuG Healers or Tanks.
I don’t have a problem with that, as long as you are the Healer and you roll Healing Gear.
But … the moment you even think you should be able to roll on Tank or DPS as main roll … thats the moment we get a problem.
Your main Roll is always for the main Role you take in the Group.
So you join as Healer … thats what you roll for. If a DPS or Tank Item drops … and no one other needs it for main roll … thats the moment people roll for Secondary Roll.
Unless you state at the start that you have no need on Healing Gear … and want to roll Main on DPS or Tank gear.
Otherwise all you look like … is one of those greedy Loladins.
It’s so his shadow priest guildie can roll on the healing drops.
