You are way overstating this issue. We’re talking about very high end content where this is relevant, and there are a lot of concessions that need to be made when starting to push harder content. Mythic raiding is no joke, for any role, and high keys are no joke, for any role. Healing any other form of content is trivial from a DPS standpoint, and any extra damage you can pump out is just nice, not required.
Well, there are two issues here.
#1 is that there is no longer any things that specifically help healing directly.
They were removed, probably because they didn’t want the system to be any more complicated than it was already, and that is probably fair, but I wish they weren’t.
#2 though, is that ALL gear is simultaneously dps and healing gear when you understand how dps as a healer helps you heal.
But still, there are a variety of corruption traits out there that would help healers a lot.
For Holy Paladin, I’d recommend the CD reduction one. Void Ritual, is it?
Seems like it would be amazing.
Just cleanse the rest if you aren’t interested in it!

I would much rather prefer if I got corruption gear that affected my healing output rather than DPS. I like healing, not DPSing. If I wanted to DPS, I’d play my DPS spec.

Really any of the stat buffs are super nice. There are a lot of stat corruptions. It’s a hard knock life for everyone with getting ideal corruption, RNGesus frowns upon all of us from time to time.

No, you shouldn’t have to “worry” about your dps. Healing is already stressful enough, you should only dps when you have downtime unless you can dps and heal at the same time.

There’s a thing as too much RNG and not being able to target what I want.
I would much rather BiS my main and then play my Shaman that never gets played, instead of being led like I’m some hamster on a wheel.
Bring back tokens and BiS without RNG. I want to play my Shaman instead of my Monk all day.

Because healers want to heal. They don’t want to have to do DPS in order to achieve things in game; they want to be able to heal.
Giving them DPS things to make encounters go faster or make things possible in their healing specs can be nice, but it doesn’t help them do the thing they actually want to do. Heal.

Well for balance yeah it is a problem, but furthermore i find it strange that me playing a Healer and wanting to Heal is somehow an outlandish concept. If i wanted to DPS i would play a DPS.
I am happy to help DPS, but it shouldn’t overtake my chosen role of healing, and i am afraid we are crossing over into that.
Is this game turning into GW2? Is the Holy Trinity being phased out?

Bruh, I don’t mean to be that guy, but your guild is 0/12 Nyalotha. What content are you doing that is requiring all this DPS? I promise you, any Mythic+ up into the low teens will be fine with you just healing. Healers can completely ignore corruption and be well loved by their guildies and friends and get very good gear.
Just because DPS matters at the very top end doesn’t mean it needs to for you to enjoy 99% of the content in this game. You’re fine. Don’t worry about DPS.

Well said, I agree and am worried too.
I wouldn’t complain if I got ANY corruption effect… besides my lovely +Avoidance and +5% leech for 28+ corruption.
As someone above mentioned, you are playing the Glimmer spec. You are doing it wrong if you aren’t going balls to the wall dpsing while shocking the raid, with a few flash of lights thrown around.
Like, it’s the very essence of the playstyle.
Also, doing more dps effectively is a healing buff, as the boss dies quicker.

We’re a super casual guild.
I’m also 5/12 H. Almost 2k io Season 2 in BfA, just 20 points shy of it. You don’t have to run with your guild to participate in content.
I will thank you for the free advertisement of my guild I get to do here and the awkward flex I dont get to do often either, because it’s elitist.
While none of this is on point for the OP, giving me DPS things as a healer, when I want to heal and have things affect my healing, is not an outlandish thought.

They can heal. These items do not make it harder to heal.
But eventually, you come to a time where you do not need to heal, and at that point, you need to DPS.
That’s just the role you chose.
If you want to repurpose this conversation to complain about why there are no healer specific affixes, you can try to do that, but I won’t be participating.
There are none, and frankly, the ones that are in are far too strong for healers and tanks as it is, so I can not understand any complaining about them.
But remember, if there WERE, then the DPS would be complaining about getting those.
And I would be here reminding those people that self healing as a DPS is just as valuable as DPS at times.
That’s the way the game is now.
You need to be well rounded to succeed.

Well honestly that’s great, then you get it, you have the chops to know that at higher ends of content there is a lot of knowledge and special, specific gearing. Different talents and azerites. It’s complex gameplay, for everyone, I don’t see why healing especially should be made easier with specific healing affixes that make picking gear and affixes trivial. Going back to stacking as much MP5 as possible isn’t fun. Getting low corruption healing % on every piece of gear for max efficiency sounds absolutely awful. Adding a barrier type corruption would be auto cleanse for 90% of players. The other side of this fence isn’t fun.
Probably because you have a dps spec. You shouldn’t be mad at getting dps gear on holy pally. Makes you even more appealing for mythic+
Question, you’re in a Mythic keystone. Your group is taking 0 damage. The timer is ticking down.
What do you do ?
a. Tab out to forums to post about how healers needing to dps is bad
b. Going to the kitchen to grab a drink and cookie and chat with your cat
c. Slightly tapping a button that does damage, and make the run faster.
