I'm a full-spec holy paladin. What should I wear when I need to kill during solo questing?

My ret set seems fast, but I run out of mana pretty quickly and have to drink

My holy set has a few more BiS and raid items, and I have plenty of mana to use on moves, and my exorcism/holy shock hit harder… but it seems slower kill-wise, not taking into account time eating.

Some one else recommended I wearing my holy gear, but instead of my OH use a shield.

I can’t figure it out, any help appreciated, thanks!

Use pally plate. Who cares if it’s not BiS when running around?

If you raid, you can check to see if someone else has the Blessing of Kings buff so you can go with a more solo-capable Holy build. A build with things like improved Seal of Righteousness damage and maybe Improved Judgment. Just use Judgment of the Crusader and use Judgment of Righteousness on cooldown. If you prepare with a bunch of conjured waters you can spam Holy Shock too, otherwise try to stick to undead areas to utilize Exorcism which is very strong.

There isn’t much else to say, Holy isn’t going to be too fast no matter what, but just pull up some videos on the side and take it easy.

Yeah that’s a good idea… so should I just take away kings, 3% hit chance, and gaurdians favor to get Seal of Command? My guild has me assigned to do Improved Wisdom anyways.

Its just preference, but if you use a 1h 3% hit doesn’t feel like too big of a loss, and it isn’t as though you’re grinding lvl near lvl 60 mobs alone… usually. Even fast 2h with SoR feels fine without the hit. Having a Judgment resist arguably feels worse. Going as far to get Seal of Command isn’t worth it in my opinion, at least while you’re wearing int gear, plate or not because it scales too much from melee stats. It’s better to just wear some spell power gear I think.

The only thing that hurts for me is giving up Guardian’s Favor, which is nice to have. Come Phase 2, the near constant uptime on Blessing of Freedom will be hard to lose, but then again you’ll have a larger mana pool and can stand to cleanse a few more times than if you were ret anyway.

Well, too late, just paid 45g haha!

I have a ret off-set with many pre-raid BiS. So essentially I’ll be playing a shockadin.

Why does it not seem worth it? I do intent to PvP solo, and the 3% hit chance and kings just don’t feel worth it over Seal of Command. Neither the kings, 3% hit, or gaurdians favor actually increase my healing.

I guess for small groups they will have to settle for improved wisdom/might over kings… but eh, that won’t be affecting me til possibly Zul’gurub or AQ20. And only if my GM notices
