I mean, you’re like 1400 rn, and you are saying gear doesnt matter. At 1400 it probably doesnt, running 2s to gear my mage at 197ilvl , as mage / rogue I think I got to about 1800ish just because of good CC chains but then you reach a point where you dont have the damage to kill. Gear disparity is a thing for sure, but people also shouldnt be expecting to hit 2k+ on fresh alts.
Once you get to about 213 ish, its a skill issue not a gear issue, 213 is more than capable of pushing to 1800+, getting you 220+ gear
