So, basic math has me add up my gear (5,928) and divide by the number of pieces (15) giving my ilvl avg of 395.
Why is my character at ilvl 370?

I never could figure out how item level was figuered out like you said math doesnt work and you can get a piece thats 60 ivl higher and it may not even raise your lvl by 2 or 3. I think most of the score comes from the 3 important pieces of gear that arent weapons and then the rest is calculated and added to the other
But you have 16 pieces of gear equipped.
5,928 / 16 = 370.5
Mathin’s hard!
Phew, we can still trust math.
15pcs on a warlock
Even with a two-handed weapon equipped it counts the weapon twice so there’s nothing weird between one weapon specializations and two weapon specializations (i.e. Arms Warrior vs Fury Warrior) when calculating item level.
One handed weapon with no off hand?
Math is for nerds and witches. We drown both
2h weapons don’t count twice. The OP just needs to get better at math. I mean, it almost counts twice because there are fewer slots to divide by.
A nerd witch…
On a side note, tofu with veggies is very good when done right.
You don’t divide by 15. A 2H weapon counts as two slots so there’s 16 for 2H which matches 1H+Off-hand.
