so im currently ilvl 317, and getting those final 3 digits is proving a bit tricky. anyone have any sure-fire way to boost my ilvl? i dont need much, just enough to get from 317 to 320

Have you tried doing the time walking event that just came out? If you have any spare tw badges you can visit the vendor in Dalaran-Northrend to purchase new gear. You can also accept the Timewaling quest that located in your dungeon journal, that would rewards you a 355 item for doing 5 timewalking dungeons.
Do WQ, Warfront
WQs, Warfront, Professions, Timewalking, regular Mythics, arenas… etc etc
Buy a heroic raid carry and don’t forget your bonus roll tokens!

Everything everyone said above AND you can do pvp and get conquest gear 355 stuff if you like to pvp.
I never thought Id recomend doing them, but i hit the same wall you did last night and I got my last few points from world quests.

Get a darkmoon Faire: Tides deck. Theey should be fairly cheap, and replace that ilvl 300. That should get you to 320
Just had my 5th character hit 120. Timewalking is honestly quite a blessing in terms of gear. Not only does the gear drop from dungeons a good iLvl that can quickly boost your overall lvl, you can buy gear from the vendors for time walking tokens. And it’s very cheap gear. Completing one TW dungeon gives you 500 tokens. You can buy all of the available gear from the vendor (I think 2 trinkets, weapon, cloak, pants?). They’re all 335 iLvl i believe.
Most people don’t need the gear that drops in TW’ing. So, hopefully they’re willing to give it over. WQ rewards should scale up with you, so keep your eyes on those when they upgrade for you.

I got to 380 in 2 weeks, didn’t even have to pay cuz of friends and favors.
I would suggest a world boss because they drop 355 gear. Also the time walking dungeons are a good idea. For the people above talking about warfronts, you can’t do those until at 320.
Do you have to be max level for those. Because I have a 110 hunter I wouldnt mind leveling some like that. Also I know all the lich king dungeons really well.
Do the world boss, make sure you do your emissaries. Do the rares in arathi as often as you can. Hit up timewalking when it’s around. If you’re able to spend some gold then grab the darkmoon decks and rings from the AH.
If all else fails, create your own groups. It might take a few minutes for people to sign up to do m0 with you but they will! Especially if you create a group for one that has a world quest.
I don’t like warfronts but yeah just spam them. Go play gathering simulator and win like 40 times you should have all pieces 340+ and a full set of smexy tmog (Warfront Set).
You can do them at any level above the cap for that expansion, they don’t drop the 335 gear though, they drop something scaled to your levell

WQ will get you to 320 easy. Open your map, find the quests that drop only gear and only defeat 1 npc.
World bosses are ok, since your not guaranteed a drop.
Why do you even play the game ?
Pay someone to log in.
maybe some m0 dungeons and the timewalking weekly?
Can’t do warfronts at 317, presumably that’s why they wanted to reach 320 as soon as possible.
