“but arthas destroyed illidan in wc3 idiot”.
Illidan is overconfident and arthas was getting borrowed power from the lich king nearby location.
In most circunstances Illidan would totally defeat arthas!
And illidan has borrowed power from gul’dan
Okay but we saw how that matchup played out. Arthas won.
“stolen”/permanent.
too bad i cant say the same about the borrowed power systems we got.
yes…and im not convinced. The weak can beat the stronger sometimes.
Every evidence is against you though. “Change my mind” how about you change everyone else’s mind? What reasons do you have?
well, pretty much what i already said basically…
Also, memes!
You didn’t say anything that proves Illidan is stronger. Every evidence points to DK Arthas being stronger.
And then he became the Lich King, and it was no longer borrowed power.
Illidan would still lose.
Illidan is not the same Illidan as he was with Arthas.
Why are you making this spam?
We’ve seen how it played out canonically and Illidan lost. it doesn’t matter the circumstances, Arthas won.
Who cares. Both characters are over rated.
Arthas was written much better if we include the terrible Legion retcon.
I mean I consider it borrowed since apparently the naaru has the ability to cleanse it, as seen on argus. And yeah, I agree, the in game borrowed power systems I feel should get the more flavorful, or better feeling parts baked into the classes as the expansions move forward.
Legion artifacts, as an example for Demo, they actually somewhat now incorporated TKC baking its damage multiplier into tyrant, which is far superior change to how the tyrant originally got damage.
illidan is stronger than arthas, cause: arthas is dead.
… Those are literally the fundamental defining traits of those characters.
Illidan is a raging egomaniac and Arthas as a Deathknight exists entirely because of the Lich King’s empowerment. That’s elemental. That’s atomic. Subtracting those from the equation completely invalidates it.
“But Illidan was overconfident” is like saying "but Illidan was purple and shirtless!"Of course he was overconfident - that’s an inherent part of his character. There’s no valid scenario where he wouldn’t be and still be Illidan.
Either way, Arthas vs. Illidan was showcased, decided, and Illidan loses. Done. Case closed. Not that Arthas didn’t inevitably fall prey to the same arrogance as WarCraft’s gooney purple Shadow the Hedgehog, but this isn’t a hypothetical. This happened, and we know the results.
Arthas Menethil > Illidan Stormrage
You might be right. While he didn’t have the helm at that point in Warcraft 3 he did have the sword. Without either of those he would be quite abit weaker Im sure.
Then again its also possible he has powered up in SL?
how strong two characters are doesn’t really matter
elephants are stronger than humans but humans use “borrowed power” to consistently kill them all the time, they’re called guns
(btw i don’t support elephant poaching )
who would win sylvanas or goku
Illlidan lost, because Arthas had Armor. And a big Soul-stealing sword.

Arthas is stronger because he scored with Jaina unlike Illidan who never even got a whiff of Tyrande’s naughty bits.
