I just turned level 61 or 62 and i would really like to see the illidan related quests in outland. i am pretty sure from what i remember the quests in the first few areas arent really tied to illidan and the traitorous akama at all. Is there a quest that starts the illidan chain in outland? any help would be appreciated.
There’s one questline in Shadowmoon Valley where you disrupt Blood Elves and Giants. There’s another in Nagrand where you meet Altruis in the middle of a field, can’t quite remember where.
That’s from memory. The only thing else I can suggest is to Google Illidan quests in Outland.
It depends on how you define “related.” Unlike later expansion villains, you really don’t see much of him. It’s more about his impact on Outland.
In Hellfire, the Fel Orcs are being created by Illidan, so a good chunk of that zone is actually about his story, but you don’t see him at all.
Altruis in Nagrand is a former Demon Hunter of Illidan (His more Illidan related quests start from Shadowmoon Valley. The ones you do while doing Nagrand are more Legion-focused.)
Shadowmoon Valley has the most stuff, along with a couple of actual appearances. He shows up at the end of the Netherwing chain once you get to exalted. As Zhaede mentioned, you’ve got the Illidari Blood Elf quests. The Akama chain opens up part way through Shadowmoon Valley questing. It will require a dungeon, and will appear to stop eventually. At that point, the next part of the quest chain (the old Black Temple attunement chain) starts after you kill the Naga council-style boss in Serpentshrine Cavern. (And that part of the quest chain requires the Tempest Keep and Mount Hyjal raids.)
