Malfurion never touched Tyrande anyway, that’s why they never had kids, so its not technically a steal.

They didn’t have kids because Tyrande was infertile. Hence their adoption

I thought it was due to Malfurion’s time in the Emerald Dream and the Druid magics fundamentally changing his genetic structure so that he was incompatible with normal Night Elves?

I mean, when you’re (biologically) immortal for most of your existence barring the worst possible scenario having kids wasn’t really much of a priority, in the 10,000+ years NEs were immortal there were like 4 born. Half of those to the same parent (Malfurion and Illidan) no less.

Malfurion too? I knew about Khadgar because of the ‘Tell me more’ dialog in Oribos with Jaina — but Malfy too!?

Jeeze, Shadowlands really just came in – fisted the lore, scooped out its guts & ate it like it was icecream - spat it on the ground like a toddler, then mic-dropped announcing a bunch of beloved characters are dying. :no_mouth:

Could even be worse than that.

Could be like the Elves from the Witcher who originally had lifespans similar to normal Humans, but attained immortality/long life through magic/science, and while mentally they adjusted to the long lifespan by having a longer perceived child/teen mental state and education cycle their bodies didn’t change mechanically.

Resulting in those in their society capable of having children not being in position to do so until biology said: “too late!”. And right when their society was trying to deal with that, a bunch of humans showed up, popping out like rabbits, being humans and the inevitable wars happened and all the young fertile elves died off, leaving only the old elves who couldn’t have children.
