I just found a seller on Etsy selling mounts from bfa for real money. I’m not sure the official channel to report such a thing, as I’m not sure of the account holder or anything of the sort. I can provide the link to the seller though. To anyone viewing this do not participate in these activities it is against the TOS.
people sell raid runs for real money to its pretty common
That is not the point, selling for gold is legal and within the terms of service. Selling for real money is not however. That is why I’m reporting it to Blizzard.

Gottem.
Probably won’t do anything though, they’ll just make another account and give themselves some fake reviews.
Thank you for helping to report though even so. I have let blizzard know in a ticket as well hopefully someone will be able to at least be aware this is happening. Its relatively new, last month there was none of this on Etsy when I did a World of Warcraft search.
why did you just advertise for them?
take the link out
This.
Report the ebay listing to ebay, maybe send the link to hacks@blizzard.com.
That’s the end of your involvement. Thanks for your help!
Yup. Delete the link. Blizz still has it from the original post.
Thank you for the information I have removed the link and sent an email.
Remember when Diablo 3 had an auction house and you could buy items with real money…same Blizzard. Blizzard don’t care about cashing in on virtual items, they care when they aren’t the ones making the coin. Remember when Blizzard banned people for life for buying or selling gold, now Blizzard sells more gold than anyone else on the planet. I get where op is coming from but Blizzard has become morally grey over time $$$
You can sell online game stuff on Etsy?!?!
You can sell anything on Etsy so long as people don’t report it. I seen someone selling themselves on there one time.
It’s suppose to be for arts and crafts but people use it for weird things too.
Lmao wth!!
Blizzard is in charge of the rights of their property. They have the right to distribute it as they see fit within the constructs of the law. Third parties, unless explicitly stated in a contract with Blizzard are not entitled to the same distribution privileges. Blizzard very much care about if someone is making money off their stuff otherwise they would allow everyone to use it freely and make money off it.
You can disagree with their decisions to put the real money auction house in Diablo 3, or tokens or other in game cash items. You can argue the fact that they have any shops or dare to sell their products outside their games instead of allowing everything to be obtained in them, but you can’t take away the fact that they have the right to do so. You also can’t take away the fact that they have the right to defend their property in the form of bans , fines ect. These people signed a contract when they made an account whether they are aware of it or not, many people do not even bother to read anything or inform themselves.
So lets not make the criminals look like martyrs and Blizzard look like hobgoblins only in it for their greedy dollars and slamming the ban hammer down on “people doing the same thing as they are doing.” They did it illegally.
As for my post I’m choosing to uphold the TOS even though I don’t agree with every action Blizzard has taken for their games because its the right thing to do. Blizzard deserves credit for the work they did. Third parties simply using the system and attempting to use it for money when its against contract is simply unlawful. Everyone player that sees illegal activities can choose to report these things, take advantage of them, or simply do nothing. That is every individual’s choice as well as the potential consequences of said actions.
Yeh your ‘Blizzard have the high ground’ card isn’t going to work on me sorry. They just made millions of dollars in pre orders by announcing a Shadowlands release date and people buying 6 months subs based on the fact it would get released. Now the entire player base is in limbo with sub fees and no release date right now.
Prepatch is coming 11/10. Release date is 11/23 my dude. You missed the memo.
You can be salty about how they handle things all you want doesn’t change the fact that they have a right to their property and to make money from it. People chose to have six month subs based on the information they were given. Its not the best to have to delay a release, I agree with that, but launching a broken game is even more of a slap in the face to the people who paid for the product. Everyone has a choice, you can choose to pay for a sub or not. Things are not guaranteed to work out. As Drewbeary said they now have a release, so no more limbo.
Want a reward?
Wait? Some reviews are fake?!?!?
(just kidding - there was an interesting blurb about an item on Amazon some time ago with 1000+ five star reviews and not one verified purchase)
Of course not how much of a prick do you think I am? I’m doing this because I want to , there need not be any other reward to do anything in life.
