Ill say it

People who hate raider io are just mad that it does its job in pointing out bad raiders. Just like Credit scores irl do their job of pointing out the irresponsible who don’t pay their debts, and that’s why the irresponsible hate credit scores.

The system doing its job is not a criticism of said system.

Pretty sure some ppl devoting most of their time to m+ is in some sort of credit card debt. You gotta keep that mountain dew running

If you want a decent M+ score to start with, just begin with +2s on each one individually. It’s easier to get a high score if you do each one at base and have a base, decent number to begin with.

The player that pays for carries also gets a good IO, I don’t understand how you guys cant see its flawed, like gear score, AOTC and ilvl, just because you have those things doesn’t mean you actually put the effort in and can do them well.
I mean sure at its best its a rough guide, but it is not the be-all and end all like some people think.

Raider io would be actually useful if you cant sell runs.

Unfortunately, raider io can be bought easily so it means nothing.

Imho the Mad World achievement is a much better indicator of a decent player.

I agree paid carries do dilute the results a bit, but there’s no way to prevent that. Even blizz couldn’t enforce such a rule against paid carries. Raider io isn’t perfect, but it is as good as it gets.

That’s what I said lol, therefore it’s not the be-all and end-all people make it out to be

Such brutal honesty hurts me

Its not the only tool to be used to determine a good candidate for raiding no. But it is the first test of many you must pass.

in order to get a good score they would need to pay for timed +15 runs on each dungeon, and even then it would look suspicious if they had exactly 1 timed run in each +15 and that was it.
in order to get an io score that wasn’t super sus they would likely need to pay for 50+ runs, and if they are willing to drop that much gold on paid carries, then why wouldn’t they just keep paying for em?

there is nothing more glorious then Raider io for my wow life.
hear me out. it’s for the wrong reasons.
I despise good groups. I feel like there boring. ill never go out of my way to torment the key but when toxicity flies it fills my belly full of butterflies.
What does raider io have to do with finding bad groups???
well. search: " io " in the search bar. you will see a ton of spam sellers but you will also see glory.
anything sub 10 saying: " checking io " is prime steak time.
it’s in fact a sign of culture.
here’s one of those groups in the wild I experienced

here’s another wild group my friend spotted before it ran away

This is why my guild uses 7 different levels of tests before admitting some one to the raiding team. Raider io requirements are lvl 1 and are the easiest level to pass by far. It gets much more comprehensive and there is much more scrutiny starting at lvl 2.

You ask that like peoples decisions make sense to the general population.
They don’t lol.
You only need to read for forums/Reddit or work in customer service to constantly wonder how people think, sure that makes sense in theory…
However you can’t say for sure that people do not pay for a good score, and then try to go it alone because I think we have all seen those, I dislike mythic plus and do it because my guild asks me or because its required for something, I have been in groups with high io player that have zero clue.

So as I said, its at best a guide.

Raider io is a bouncer at the door. Then for my guild at least, once you get inside, there is 6 more rooms you have to get through, in which you have to impress six different people, each who examine your history and personality with great scrutiny. If you get past the sixth room you get admitted to the raid team for a trial period.

But raider io saves us a lot of time keeping the hopeless from getting inside.

Not true, in many cases, people with good work ethic in game, have good work ethic irl. One of our raiders in the guild I’m with is a mid tier corporate executive making $400,000 a year.
