I'll never recapture the magic of my first Blackrock playthroughs

All of the Blackrock instances are what I think of when I think of WoW. Dark, foreboding mazes of bridges, camps, and towers you slowly make your way through with five other adventurers decked out in greens and blues. Where every utility spells was just as important as a DPS spell. Where having professions and mats ready to go felt meaningful. WoW was alive back then, and I was just a small little warlock in a big world.

I wish I could recapture that experience. But it’s a different game now, and Classic just wasn’t the same after so many years playing through every piece of it. I wish they could turn WoW back into a real RPG and add back more of the flavor, the abilities that do weird and crazy things, the maze like dungeons, and the challenges that make even 5 man groups feel like today’s mythic raids.

If you ran out again you would want it to go faster. I remember doing old school ST at the end thought that was cool… And never done it again.

I thought i entered a raid, everytime i get it while leveling i leave it if the tank decides to do a full clear.

10 man dungeons gang.

Yeah it’s pretty neat the first time around. I remember stepping foot in there during the first few weeks of vanilla and had a blast. Took ages before people could push deep though with all the fire damage.

Unfortunately, there’s no convenient reset button on memories and nostalgia is just nostalgia, which quickly evaporates as soon as you try to reexperience it again. Assuming you hopefully never suffer from a serious brain injury or dementia, the charm will never be there again.

You aren’t supposed to recapture that.
