"I'll just wait for Shadowlands", why?

All these posts saying “I’m just going to wait for Shadowlands” and then I see not even half of 8.3 content they have yet to do, let alone barely touched them

And I question why? There’s still stuff you can do before the pre patch.

I’m not saying you better get gladiator/mythic Ny’loatha/+20 keys completed on all dungeons or else, I’m saying make the most out what you can do

I’m pretty sure majority have done LFR countless times but maybe at least try to do normal

I don’t care if you just killed one boss in normal Ny’loatha, at least you tried

For visions, at least get to rank 15 cloak if that’s all you can do

Get all the rewards from paragon chests

You keep going till the last day of 8.3, so that when you finally log on the first day of pre Shadowlands patch on that Tuesday, you can finally look back at what you did and be grateful you did much as you could outside of LFR/world quests

Because on that Tuesday you no longer worry about Ny’loatha, world quests, or BFA anything in general, you’re now focused on the pre patch only

When you finally retire of your Heart of Azeroth and have alot of rank 3 essences, place it in the bank, you can look back and go “yeah I did this”

When you finally take off your legendary cloak and place it in the bank as you gotten some green quest reward from Shadowlands, you can look back and go “yeah I did this too”

If people have done this, there wouldn’t be these “bring back mage tower!” Threads or something similar to it.

And guess what, when you do decide “hey let me get some stuff in BFA” 6 months into shadowlands, its very likely you can get it since you already did do the content

I still hold that like the vast majority who clamor for the MT to come back won’t be able to even clear them without crying for nerfs, but that’s neither here nor there.

Hell, if none of the above soothe you, just go for mog and mount farming. For rping.
For telling the lout next to you to go take a swim as you boot him off a pier.

It’s boring dude. That is why…
And I do these things. Have 3 toons with 15 cloak, its a slog, a boring one, especially when you get all the drops from it.

Because 8.3 is utter garbage and most people would rather do nothing that sit through the content it has to offer.

This just in: Clark Paladin, the sole arbitrator of what is and isn’t fun, thinks most WoW players are having fun wrong!

All of you should feel bad, because Clark says you’re bad.

Im a returning player. Been gone basically since Cata, except a very brief bit in WoD.

I think a lot of players simply get jaded with content. I know I have and will, too. Burnout is easy.

But when you look at the whole, there really is a lot more than ever to do now. I especially notice this being a returning player.

I have been back long enough for the honeymoon to wear off but Im still having fun.

There really is a LOT to do currently. Im still having fun and dont think BFA is nearly as bad as people say.

Simple answer: They’re probably bored to death.

They’d fit right at home with the Forsaken then.

Making more hexweave bags is more entertaining than doing the cloak questline IMVHO!

Sure, there’s stuff that I ‘can’ do. Doesn’t mean it is stuff I WANT to do, however.

Nazjatar is godawful without flying, and I simply can’t bring myself to care enough to grind reps and get the second part of pathfinder. I’m not a Mythic raider, and I hate the speedrun aspect of Mythic+. Island expeditions can jump off a cliff. And I haven’t even unlocked that cloak yet. I might come back with the pre-patch, to experience Scourge invasions, but to be honest I haven’t logged in for more than 5 min total since Classic launched, because I’ve been too busy with my Undead Warlock.

You realize a lot of us aren’t returning players we have done all this stuff already.

After 120 it boils down to this:
Raid
M+
Visions until you get what you want
Camp rares for mounts/pets
Run legacy content for mounts/pets/mog
Do achievements

That is it, and 2 of those are somewhat the same thing, just with new content.

It is washed, reused, and filler content. This is coming from someone that mount runs ALOT with the 400 mount achieve. It just isn’t FUN, its time wasting filler.
If blizz actually wanted to make things easier, they would give all raids that drop mounts from final bosses portals directly to them, instead of forcing you to run the entire instance. That is a /timeplayed metric booster

i mean the real answer is that it bores me out of my skull, but also because current content looks significantly worse next to a shiny new expac right around the corner. right now when i think of what im hyped for in wow it’s ALL shadowlands and character customization and has nothing at all to do with 8.3 or anything it currently offers

I would tell people to do M+, but then I would get flagged and people will be like “It’s not fun! you dont pay my sub, I can play how I want”… But you know what… do M+. Challenge yourself.

It’s a boring content that I don’t feel like doing. Right now I am having a great time playing wow classic

8.3 hasn’t really got a lot of good content. A ton of grinds though, I don’t know why a returning player would bother.

You forgot the most important thing there in every single activity you’re fighting their RNG system…

There’s no goals, bfa was trash… clark is just beating a dusted horse on some paladin alt. :man_shrugging:

This is my alt and I was trying to add more thumbs up on Bektokal like a couple thousand more :+1:’s but lagged the page so bad my phone crashed so I can’t even visit this thread on Bektokal now since it saved as a draft and I can’t even delete it from lag

It really is hard to convey sarcasm over the internet since everyone reads it with their own tone

Oh well
