So, with this week’s patch notes restart, the Touch of the Corruptor took a nerf (good):
- [With regional restarts] Reduced the damage requirement to free an allied player from Touch of the Corruptor’s mind control effect by 10% on all difficulties.
However, apparently there was an undocumented nerf which removed the “debuff” once you’re broken out to not be able to be re-MC’d immediately, making it so melee are functionally irrelevant on this fight and increasing the difficulty probably unintended by the nerf?
Just wanted to note that I experienced this same bug with my guild last night on Heroic Il’gynoth. My best guess is that since the health requirement to break the mind control was reduced, we’re no longer hitting the health level set to apply the “temporarily immune to further mind control” status, causing melee to basically be locked into the mind control state.
We had a terrible time with this bug last night in out raid, and not just for melee. Everyone. You would come out of it but still not be able to control your character for 3 seconds, and one of two things would happen :1) you’d get mind-controlled again; 2) people’s health was also not restored to full, as it was before, and you’d get left in a puddle and die before you could regain control.
This “nerf” made a fight we’d done successfully a number of times suddenly impossible.
Same issues with out group. Except people seemed to be breaking out of MC with even less health than previous weeks and if they didn’t die right after were immediately re-mind controlled. Fight felt very bad.
