I have never seen one that has the verifiable work experience to be a WoW dev, who would also be willing to give up every single holiday to work on bugs, tunings, etc.

Fanaticism isn’t a work experience or educational experience that makes one qualified to do things.

I’d argue they’d know the game more than the devs would.

Ok. I can’t continue this conversation if you seriously think “I know how to play the game” is basically the same thing as “i know how to design software, code, etc”.

Perhaps the issue is that there isn’t communication to the player base in a manner that ensures the player base actually sees it. For example, they could post it on the opening screen of B-net instead of ads. The fact that players have to go looking for information demonstrates Blizzard’s communication issue.

Bottom line is that the player commit is there to improve the game, Blizzard just isn’t interested in making it happen in our interests as the consumer.

They have been COMMUNICATING like what are you even talking about like seriously? Have you not been reading the hotfixes for the last couple of weeks and days? They have been doing what you’re suggesting.
I feel like the people who make conpletely ubsubstantiaded claims like this will never be satisfied until they get personalized emails detailing every thought process, numbers change, and internal balancing passes. And then they’d never read the whole thing and still make posts complaining about X, Y, and Z.
