if you can place someone on ignore then proceed to message them over n over you are asking for toxic interactions.
two solutions, easy ones
if you place someone on ignore you cant message them
OR
if you message someone on ignore it un-ignores them
its crazy that its possible top ignore someone so they cant talk but message them dumb things over n over
ignore them back?
Honestly agree. Shouldn’t be interacting with people you ignore gives ‘I want the last say’ vibes.
First suggestion I think is the correct one
obviously lol, just because i can press ignore which is 100% what you do does not make this any less of an oversight or not a dumb thing to have in game
My ignore list is mostly full of spammers from early wow and people having meltdowns on trade chat, I do need to delete the list as most spammers are gone or changed nicks and most of the melt downers have either grown or quit.
As it relates to the forum, I have never ignored ANYBODY , because a forum, by nature is a converging of different opinions and using ignore breaks its purpose of being.
That being said, if somebody ignores YOU they should not be able to harass you further, I agree.
I think anyone who has to use the ignore feature has probably never had their opinion challenged or ever been told no. It’s very easy to simply overlook their comments and not feel some primal urge to respond. In fact by leaving them off the ignore feature I get the reminder that these people are crashing out for no reason and by not responding to them and not ignoring them I’m actually showing them what it looks like when an adult walks away from a conversation. The ignore feature exists and people are free to use it if they want to, but I think the person who is in the path of being ignored should be shown that their words are only words, and I am unbothered by them
