Why is there a limit on how many people I can ignore?
I managed to make it where my Trade Chat on Area-52 wasn’t just people people spamming carries and stuff but then I finally capped my list? This shouldn’t be a thing.

Probably because there are more sellers than your list could handle. What about glossing over the ones that don’t match your needs?
Ignoring them individually is like the least efficient possible way of going about it.

Use the addon for spam. Save your ignore list for jerks and creeps.

Did they ever do account wide ignore?
Yeah, we need this. Some people, who probably deserve to be ignored, think “If you run into that many jerks, you’re the jerk,” which is completely ignorant of how many vile people there are on the internet.
I think that it is quite often the case, yes, but here it just seems like OP hasn’t figured out the optimal means of avoiding the trade chat carry deluge.

/ignore now blocks all characters on the ignored player’s WoW account.

it’s because this is a multiplayer game and the limit serves as an indicator that the problem might be you.
They did. But not in the way you might think. Ignoring someone will only ignore their entire account for that one character of yours. If you log onto another character despite being on your same account, the offender will NOT be ignored. You will have to add them to the ignore list of that character.

It is indeed lame. I lamented as much a couple weeks ago on this forum. This is not how account wide ignore should work. It should be account vs account. Not character vs account. The way they’ve implemented it now is quite frankly, stupid.

I was immediately wondering why we wanted to ignore Limit… good guild and they seem like a nice bunch of guys

your not supposed to get it anywhere near cap. TBH if it all seller just wipe it clean and start again cause id put money on 99% of the characters you blocked are unused now.
