Based on some testing, it looks like trinkets such as Talisman of Ephemeral Power and Zandalarian Hero Charm (ZHC) are applying not only to the original spell cast but also to the ignite dots left on the target. This was discovered by observing the ‘charges’ on ZHC are being consumed without additional spell casts, and those charges are being eaten each time an Ignite ticks on the target.
This leads to two issues: One, Ignite is “double-dipping” on spell power. It’s damage is not only being calculated by the original spell (or spells) total value but also then modified by the spell power of the user (or users). Second, it’s eating charges on trinkets like ZHC which it should not do.
Can we confirm this is the proper behavior or not?
