You should try banding together to unsub. There are far more players than botters, volume will speaks louder.
Its mind boggling that people are complaining but isn’t willing to do something about it.

No, I actually like raiding and don’t go anywhere near the 30 instance cap.
Dude, I still want to play the game. Who am I punishing other than myself by unsubbing in protest?
Same, I farm dme but never ever hit the limit because I just do 2 hours farm at a time at most which is about 10 runs.
Well you’re punishing Blizzard too by denying them your money. Generally speaking voting with your wallet is more likely to get the attention of a business like Blizzard.
Boycott is historically a terrible way to get your point across. It simply doesn’t work.
Well I already unsubbed yesterday because of their mismanagement of Classic and Cyberpunk is around the corner so it was a easy decision for me…
Look the troll posted again. Flag it and move on.
I do like raiding and I dont want to bail on my whole guild like that, as one of the few remaining priests we have left. But seriously, stuff like this makes me consider it. And if my guild decides they wanna be done from burnout or whatever, things like this push me to go “yeah, me too, let’s bail on this hogwash.” So I guess, I’m getting there.
I made a change dot org petition to try to organize those of us who want to coordinate a mass unsub for this. Pls sign, search “BLIZZARD, REMOVE THE 24 HOUR 30 INSTANCE CAP!”
I’ll sign it, but I’ve yet to be convinced that those petitions actually do anything.
Boycott 100% work. Look at the #BLM movement.
While I think Timegating sucks and generally think they should do as little gating as possible, I understand why Blizzard is doing this and I think on balance it’s a good move. Yes, it is going to affect some players that only have one or two days a week to play a lot and want to farm 16 hours a day when they get the chance, and that’s unfortunate, but it’s going to hurt more botters than legitimate players. I think 30 PvE instances a day should be enough for most players.
You may wanna post this to the classic subreddit if you want it to get some traction?
I think the point you’re missing is that they’re heavy-handedly making changes that don’t even actually address the problem in a direct way. Changes that potentially negatively impact legitimate players and there’s not really a reason for that.
This is the quintessential example of a punishment that teachers in grade school do. “Because x misbehaved, now everyone must be punished.” Just punish the guilty party, not the whole class.
Its not about whats “enough for most players” for me its that I could accidentally lock out my main, a different character, from raiding.
Don’t like being punished for a problem you aren’t creating … punish yourself even more!
brilliant solution, op. that will definitely get the bots banned. sure.
That’s a fair point. This is going to hurt some legitimate players.
Same lol I get maybe 10 if it’s an especially froggy day.
Want edgemasters? Too bad they will be 10k+. Want to use consumes for raids? The herb supply doesn’t fit your demand anymore. Want arcanite bars? Gl actually finding some if you can actually afford them. This’ll effect premade in pvp who farm gold after cap to get ready for the next weeks bgs.
