This never happens. They’ve tried before to get people to do more difficult stuff during WoD and they just didn’t raid.
Yeah but it is. The only obstacle in LFR is having to wait around a while.
Blizzard: Lets be inclusive and exclusive at the same time!
While I agree it’d dumb of Blizz to not have the mount in LFR, this is also a very solveable problem for the players who want it.
Throw together a community/discord and it’s hard to imagine that with so many people (including those who do higher than LFR) upset about this that most people would be able to get their mount.
Heavy disagree. It’s not much easier than normal. The only difference is trying to get into the raid. That’s the only real difficulty between the two.
Isn’t anduin missing a whole phase in LFR?
It is a player problem but also one that has to do with finding groups to begin with. People don’t like raiding as much as they use to in this game.
I’m sure Perky Pugs or someone will run groups, but even they have had a hard time finding volunteers for the crab mount. And it’s also leaving the game.
Only the downstairs part which is like the downstairs which is a short part of that fight. It’s worth better gear, but not a mount that was voted on that had a free voted on mount just given for logging in.
That’s not true I secretly communicate with Blizzard via the forums and the internet to let them know how to make their game. Every so often when Ion gets on camera to make a speech he gives me hand signals to let me know he got the message.
I do matter!
Tbh tho we LFR proud and many are a shining example of rent a friend with no strings attached. I wasn’t going to marry any of you anyway, and I highly doubt I’ll ever meet any of you either. So even if Blizzard doesn’t love us we love each other until we leave then we stop loving each other.
If the issue is they don’t like raiding, I’m not gonna feel bad for them not getting a raid reward. Same as I don’t expect anyone to feel bad for me not getting PvP or pet battle rewards.
It’s not just people that don’t like raiding. It’s also people that were in raiding guilds that fell apart. I wonder if people that still have their guilds know what happened to this game. For a lot of people their guilds completely fell apart in WoD and then in BFA, and those people never came back. This game suffered such a population loss.
So what people are left with is pugging with others. And sometimes you can find groups. Sometimes that depends on the time of day or the day itself. Sometimes they don’t take people or only certain people. You aren’t guaranteed a spot.
So people turn to LFR. Because everyone gets a spot.
Why do people keep thinking “casuals” only do LFR? Do people not realize casuals also do normal, heroic and mythic? You absolutely do NOT need to put in the time like you did in Vanilla. I am in a 2 raid night a week raiding guild and we only do normal/heroic but with 20 could also do mythic. We have 0 issues finishing well before the next tier. Our raid nights are only 2 1/2 hrs long also. In the past in MoP I was in a Heroic guild (back then that was the hardest mode) and only did 2 nights a week also. There is another guild on my server who raids 1 night a week for 3 hrs and clears heroic.
There are always Normal PUGS running for the current Raid at all times of the day and night. Obviously some times of the day are more popular but if you find time to do LFR you can use the Group Finder instead and probably get in a group faster and have a better chance of success.
It’s GD. They always conflate casual with bad when casual (to me) is someone who doesn’t take the game that seriously and/or doesn’t spend a lot of time playing.
I have a group I’ve been playing with for years that’s made up of old school Raiders who just play very casually now. We do one night a week of Raiding with the goal of getting AOTC each Season. Most of the group plays less than 6 hours a week.
So I gather all this kvetching is that people cannot AFK in LFR and have to turn off Netfix to earn something? Normal isn’t all that hard. You just have to pay attention now.
This is the strongest argument as to why the mount should be a participation trophy.
That said, as a heroic raider I’d really like to have something lasting to aim for raiding this season, besides gear that will be be replaced with quest greens as soon as the patch drops. I’ve finished all the Shadowland “Glory of…” mounts and have my AotC crab. My normal and heroic Xmogs are done. If the achievement and Slime Cat pops from LFR and Normal, there isn’t much point to the season because there’s no new end boss.
…they want one mount, dude. Noone is asking for mythic ilvl or AotC mounts from LFR, chill.
Those things happened in the golden era of wow too.
I hope Blizz reverses course on this, but if they don’t, a lot of people will have spent more time complaining here than they would have spent just working together to get their mounts.
You can say “that never happens” but there’s no reason for that to be the case this time. It’s wild that people who are ok pressing a button to play with strangers aren’t willing to press a different one and just have to fly to the instance.
Heck, there’s probably enough GD regs to probably run 2 or 3 full groups + some pugs.
Sure, but it’s not like those people came back and then left again. Even more of the population left.
There always has been failure for them to get most of the population to raid. That was the whole reason they brought in flex and then LFR.
You guys do know that casual players also do Normal right? Like – casual does not mean “forever LFG” right?
