Expansion after expansion Blizzard delivers us a stinker, and the thing is the players try to tell Blizzard it’s a stinker but they ignore them.
Then after the stinker is out many quit.
However enough (like me, usually) stick around because they have such an investment in this game and want to try to discover that same level of fun from previous expansions even if they have to force it.
It never happens (obviously) despite maybe a few forced moments, whatever they may be. Yet Blizzard is still receiving our subscription money and it’s just enough for them to not panic and realize something is fundamentally wrong with the way the game is being designed.
How many more expansions are we going to wait until the third major patch for it to be good, paying Blizzard our money all the while like fools?
Despite the fact they had our feedback from literally alpha, and they choose to ignore it.
I don’t want to speak for anyone else but I’m not going to put up with this anymore and I encourage you not to as well.
If the game feels unfun and unnecessarily tedious in meaningless ways (like covenant swapping or crazy pathfinders) I’m just not going to play anymore.
I’m going to speak with my wallet because obviously Blizzard isn’t going to listen to me or any other customer trying to speak to them any other way. They’ve proven that for at least the past 6 years or more.
Good sentiment. I like to play at the end of expansions most because, by then, most things that were problematic have been fixed! But TBH I have fun at the beginning of the xpac with all the bugs and weird bosses too.
Legion Legendaries were not. Among many other things. It was still the same old pattern of Blizzard ignoring the playerbase until two patches into the expansion.
I haven’t had a disappointing expansion yet. They’ve all been a blast.
Pathfinder 2 during Legion was my lowest point. I was frustrated that we had PF 2 in the first place on top of that horror of a landscape the Broken Isles.
But even that soon passed.
I liked BFA, it’s a beautiful world. I’m running around and pointlessly leveling my horde Druids leather working. But it’s fun traveling around the world, seeing the sights again. As always, an amazing world.
I’m SL will have it’s amazing aspects and it’s let downs, but they’ve all been successful for me, and I look back fondly at them all.
Legion was fun for me because Blizzard cared enough to do class sets and whatnot. Some of the Antorus raid gear like the bear set had amazing class lore behind them. They really dropped the ball on raid sets this xpack since they’re all so similar looking and imo not even good looking. Nyalotha isn’t even a well done raid art wise. It feels like a giant skybox, and I KNOW blizzard could have done a better job. It just does not at all feel like how it was portrayed in lore and the drops aren’t even cool ugly theyre just ugly.
Did you love having a broken class or spec until you got the correct legendary or until 8.1 where Blizzard finally fixed them? Remember how people actually recreated their characters if they didn’t get the correct legendary because that was how impactful they were?
I hated legion and bfa, all these systems need to go drown in a lake. This is painful to say but i would take WoD over both legion and BFA. Like i said all these systems are garbage and more of headache then fun.
Also to original poster " If you’re not having fun, don’t play " okay
That really does not work, the just quit if you don’t like it. From a peak of somewhere around 10 million players to whatever we are at now something did not work. Yet they keep doing what they are doing full speed ahead. Seems to be a disconnect somewhere.
I really don’t like the artifact leveling from legion and bfa. However compared to bfa legion was a completely different game and it was actually fun to do things in it but oh boy did it have issues of its own.
