If you're needing dark runes to AH you're a jerk

Just a PSA for all the greedy warriors of the world.

The item is worth the same amount of gold to mana users and non mana users. I bet you roll need on edgemasters as a caster/healer

If a epic item drops that someone is going to equip and not sell, then no I will not need because I’m not a selfish jerk.

Yeah lots of people say that on the forums. Do you pass on eternal fire if someone needs to use it? Do you pass on random greens to an enchanter? Do you pass on Righteous orbs if theres melee in the group since they need them more?

It all depends on use case. I need for what I’m going to use. I play Ele shaman so no, I don’t need on righteous orbs unless that is the agreed upon loot rule. Randomly needing dark runes in a pug is just cringe. Stop trying to justify your selfish mentality.

You are literally asking other people to pass on boe items that everyone worked for out of greed, and calling others selfish lmao. I will now be needing on any dark runes I see on warrior

why are you arguing? it’s common sense that an item that restores mana should go to casters who WILL use it rather than sell :expressionless: need is for use. greed is for sell. hth

There is more value in the healer having runes to be able to keep group members alive, than there is in you auctioning the rune just to pocket some extra gold. If you’re putting some pocket change above the lives of the characters that you’re raiding/dungeoning with then you’re essentially harming your own progress towards BoPs, whether you realize it not.

Fat elf thinks Cataclysm is retail :expressionless: Cataclysm is more vanilla than TBC and wrath :expressionless:

in scholo sc bracer drop “hello i need it and will use it” the full group press need and saying it’s worse +100 gold.
in one of my strath Ud, sword of zealed dropped and i said “please i need it and will equip it right away” the whole group pressed need and said it’s worth 400g

and now you’re telling me i should not need on Dark runes? LOL get lost.

that just speaks to the calibre of anniversary players :expressionless: this crap didn’t happen in classic or SoM.

i can’t imagine not letting a rogue who needs shadowcraft bracers get them. just awful what anniversary players are doing

It happened plenty from actual vanilla to now :expressionless: why do you lie so much to people who know better

sadly all i’ve seen from tons of dungeon runs is “people pressing need on anything that could be sold on AH despite if there is actual need’r in the group who would use the item” so it’s the common / normal action to expect everyone pressing need on dark runes.

maybe in your groups :expressionless: birds of a feather flock together

I’ve never liked the Dark Rune policy. You can easily farm the BoP ones in Felwood. They drop like candy. There’s no reason for Dark Runes to go healers/casters if they drop in Scholo since they are so valuable. Do that for your guild runs.

Yeah cause my experience on multiple servers, beginning on nazjatar in Vanilla is invalidated because fat elf pretended to play 20 years ago :expressionless:

if you are rolling “need” to sell an item, you’re doing it wrong :expressionless: pretty simple

This is what a culture of selfishness will breed. People feeling obligated to be greedy simply because others around them have been.

I think “Two wrongs don’t make a right” is an appropriate adage here. Being greedy is simply a race to the bottom and it doesn’t have to be this way.

I’d suggest playing with as many guildies as possible and actually befriend them so you can be excited when a fellow party member equips an upgrade instead of selfishly thinking “Agh! That could’ve been extra gold for me! :triumph:”

tbh blizzard should just make all BOE gear/items BOP and the issue with players mentality of “that worth gold will be solved”
or they can force dungeons to have Need before greed rule, to eliminate any false needers for selling or ninja.
