If you're in your 30s

I IMPLORE you to roll a new character, and level the old way. Don’t take exile’s reach or whatever and don’t take the 3 other options they present you at level 10. Just exit out of that menu and play on.

…it is soooo nostalgic and magical. All the old quests are the same, all of the music scores are familiar. It’s fantastic. As goofy as it is to say… my soul needed this.

Such a magical game.

I mean yeh but that’s the point!

Question, how does leveling have anything to do with being in your 30s?

I thought this was going to be about my age or something

If you try to reroll into the old zones, and Battlenet pulls your age as 29 or younger, you are kicked from the client.

I can barely remember my 30s… lol. It was a long long time ago.

(toddles off to tell pointless stories about the good ole days)

I did that yesterday with this new character, without using heirlooms and trying to find a way to enjoy the game. Like to try going through the chapters or expansions in order. Since level so darn fast, kinda kill the game itself.

Like to get all my professions up to 300 before moving on to Outland, max out there then to Northrend, etc.

I hope this will keep myself busy, btw i do have few other games i enjoyed too. Also i my 50s right now. I do remember playing this back in 2004, sure bring back good ol’ memories, but not like that no more. I wont crawl back in there or the classic. I like the better graphic and more options to choose from.

I remember the parts of my 30’s not shrouded in a purple haze.

Like I got time to play more than 1 character

I barely remember my 30s and I’m still in them.

I’m doing that with a couple of characters (and I’m older than my 30s), but there are a few issues.

  1. The game is still built around fast level progression. You get everything much more quickly than you used to.
  2. There are no more hard areas of a zone to tell you that maybe you’ve gone to far. No more harpies in Mulgore, or Northern Barrens to tell you that exploration has consequences. I mean, the harpies are still there, but they’re your level now.
  3. Dungeons make everything trivial.

TL;DR: What you really mean is “Go play on Classic.”

If your in 30s, it’s likely you have nostalgia for Vanilla era stuff. Thought that was obvious mb guys!

Done that plenty of times.

Its really not that magical

Totally I hear ya, I could just go play classic. But I just want to dip my feet in the water of nostalgia a bit.

I’m an advid Mythic plus player, I just wanted to level the old legit way for a bit before grinding out dungeons to 70 lol. I’m gonna quest till 40-50ish probably before Activision takes over.

I did that multiple times since 1.x , no thanks

I hated leveling before exiles reach.

No thanks.

Lol I’ve done Exile’s on each armor type once to get each mog and never again.

The old world does a much better job of organic storytelling.

I will always level alts specifically in Vanilla-TBC-Wrath zones, and MoP & Legion on the side.

Went to Isle of Thunder and got extremely lucky getting the Warlock’s green fire.

I even took this character to Argus from 45-50, so I could get some specific mogs I wanted for my new warlock.

You SEE what’s going on, rather than having an NPC explain every single experience.

This is actually a great idea. Might as well search out and farm some mogs.

Try double that
