As stated in my last thread:
How Legendaries are handled are unfair. Some people have their’s LOCKED BEHIND A RAID. Some people have their’s on RNG. Others just have a 100% chance for Honor or Rep or 100% if a World Boss pops up (still RNG).
Gets even more fun - why is this so important? Simple. You buy your items to put your legendaries on. If you swap this, you are set behind several weeks. You have to get your best or risk setting yourself back later.
As someone pointed out - Devs said you should get your legendary within 7 runs. I’m on my fourteenth. OF THE SAME DUNGEON. Nice stats on that.
I would like to say that, no. RNG is RNG. You are liars and frauds. I’ve done twice that number.
I’ve also found that the legendaries seem to share a loot pool with all the other items the monster drops. WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?! It should be a separate drop!
It gets even more fun than this. I’ve also been calculating odds on getting loot on the last boss. While I don’t have a percent, I can tell you the most likely scenarios you will find loot per dungeon.
If you see loot on the first boss - you seem to have a good shot (roughly half the time) of seeing loot on the last boss.
If you see no loot on any bosses, chances are the last boss has loot. RNG on that, on top of this.
If you get it on the second or third boss - you will NOT see what you’re looking for on the last boss.
I’m seeing a pattern here for sure.
Now, any time I see this pattern, I’m leaving dungeons. I’m saving myself the time. Thanks for making it obvious (mind you - it’s fourteen completes).
You want me in the random queue for a failbag and the chance I won’t get this dungeon? HA.
I’m queuing specific only and I won’t ever queue random again. I’m going Mythic - just because of the horrors I’ve been subjected to through RNG on players on top of this.
You want to talk math? Here’s your math.
“The rates are much higher,”
The devs say. Give a number, they do.
I am twice-past this number and have discovered not only are those numbers wrong, but they made WORSE the issue at hand by including it as a loot table drop, essentially changing the percentage from 1/7.
To 1/4 (for the boss in question).
Then 1/6 for the item, assuming all drop equally.
Bringing our odds from a supposed: 1/7.
To a 1/24. Bringing your odds to 4.17%. A far cry from the 1/7 (13%) that was touted. (Edit - someone has proven this is in addition to loot - I am incorrect).
Excluding more commonly dropped items. There’s your math.
So, it seems like I have gone from a 4% chance to being a statistical frickin’ unicorn.
Got it after 20 full runs and 5 failures.
