Why? It’s an Allied Race. We learn about them through questing. Then they join us.

I don’t care about haranir, but I thought it was pretty annoying to have to level and finish the campaign to play an earthen. For anyone who wants to swap mains it feels very redundant. From a story perspective it can make sense but it sucks from a gameplay perspective.

Preorder does nothing but give you a slight head start on the gearing process and ultimately means absolutely nothing.

Unless you’re after some sort of pet or mount, I’d save my money…or don’t. I don’t care what people do with their moola

from the way the dev comments read in Germany during the reveal, it sounded a lot more (to me) like the Kul Tiran/Zandalari unlocks- as in it will be 12.1 or 12.2 patch before we unlock Haranir due to the storyline needing to unfold, not just requisite time gating.

Haranir will be a base expansion feature, just timegated behind the main story quests for 12.0 most likely.

There’s absolutely no chance they’re holding them for any patch after 12.0 because Blizzard rarely likes to talk multiple patches at a time, especially when it comes to expansion launch stuff. They also would not be able to get away advertising it as a base expansion feature only to lock it behind 12.1 or 12.2 making them come out 6-12 months after they were announced for.
